Amazon Studios is currently hiring a Post Production Coordinator to help the existing post department in launching an ever increasing amount of original content. Amazon Studios original programming includes a number of exciting shows including the Emmy winning series Transparent, Bosch and The Man in the High Castle as well as new Original Movies in 2016.
At Amazon Studios, the Post Production Coordinator will be responsible for a high volume of tasks and report directly to the Head of Post Production Operations. These duties include completion and maintenance of detailed summary documents, frequent contact with our Amazon Video (AV) mastering vendors, schedule coordination for the Head of Post Production Operations, and ownership and maintenance of expansive asset and document libraries. An enthusiastic, team oriented approach is essential. The position requires the ability to build effective working relationships inside and outside of the group, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the organization and concrete grasp of team objectives. It is also critical that the candidate possess strong writing skills and some technical fluency to clearly communicate workflows to other Amazon departments and outside vendors.
The position also calls for a detail oriented, organized planner with the demonstrated ability to deliver results and respond efficiently while maintaining flexibility. The candidate will need to display a Bias for Action, in staying ahead of a demanding calendar and a large number of vendors. Candidate will also be expected to learn and maintain cost-tracking systems including the creation of POs for vendors as well as the expenses occurred internally.
Duties & Responsibilities include:
Create, maintain, and push both Avails & Metadata forms for all AS Originals Programming – Domestic and International.
Plan and maintain an annual calendar for Post Team
Curate and manage document and asset libraries.
Interact with and coordinate delivery of materials to and from numerous outside vendors.
Manage all administrative support functions, including meeting preparation such as distributing copies, video and conference call coordination, supply ordering, team event coordination
Track and drive completion of key deliverables and follow up on outstanding items as needed
Ownership of on-boarding process and space management for a growing team
Demonstrate an interest in developing and implementing new technologies and approaches to optimize workflow efficiency.
Strong writing and verbal skills, particularly in communicating technical processes.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 2 years of experience in a post-production environment
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience with delivery of assets to studio
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in various television/film post production environments.
• Experience with creating and maintaining schedules for various projects
• Experience with delivery of assets to studio
• Experience with a variety of digital media workflows
• Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
• Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines.Strong written and oral communication skills
• Common sense, great judgment, and a good sense of humor
