Amazon Studios is currently hiring a Localization Billing Coordinator to help the existing Intl. Post Operations team manage and track the expenditures and costs of foreign language dubbing and subtitling as we launch an ever increasing amount of original content across the Globe. Amazon Studios original programming includes a number of highly regarded series, including the Emmy winning Transparent, Golden Globe winning Mozart in the Jungle, and the hit series The Man in the High Castle, as well as forthcoming international productions from our regional teams.
Localization Billing Coordinator
The Localization Billing Coordinator will report to the Sr. International Localization Manager and will track all costs associated with work related to the translation/adaptation, casting, recording, mastering and versioning of Amazon Originals content for Global release. S/he will be responsible for maintaining forecasting and actuals grids, issuing and revising purchase orders, updating purchase order logs, interacting with third-party localization vendors, and monitoring invoicing across multiple projects on an ongoing basis. In addition, the Localization Billing Coordinator will work closely with the Localization Project Managers to ensure all POs and invoices are tracked, processed, and approved in a timely manner.
Primary tasks include:
- Organizing, reviewing, reconciling, and approving bids and invoices
- Issuing, revising, and tracking purchase orders
- Updating and maintaining various internal systems and trackers
- Reporting information to internal finance and accounting teams
- Keeping vendors and internal contacts up-to-date as content is finalized
- Pursuing outstanding payments/approvals and troubleshooting any issues/discrepancies
- Suggesting and implementing best practices to improve and refine monetary processes
- Assisting with financial planning and analysis
This role will liaise regularly with the production finance team to provide updates on monthly spending, help forecast and budget future projects, as well as report on progress for monthly/quarterly accruals. The ideal candidate should be willing and able to handle a heavily administrative day-to-day while also collaborating and contributing to process planning for future growth potential and cost efficiency.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 2 years of experience in a post-production environment geared toward work on episodic Television (experience with Features is also a plus)
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Ability to report data accurately and identify errors or off-pattern entries in spreadsheets
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet aggressive deadlines
• Experience with purchase orders, invoicing, and tracking of spends
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience with a variety of digital media workflows and styles of content localization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Financial Tracking/Reporting systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 2 years of experience with a variety of Subtitling and Dubbing localization workflows across multiple regions
• Experience in project management, specifically overseeing budgets for multiple projects
• Experience with acquisition and delivery of assets from producing entities to a studio or vendor
• Self-motivated to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
• Common sense, great judgment, and a good sense of humor
