Amazon Studios launched in 2010 as a new way to develop feature films and episodic series-one that's open to great ideas from creators and audiences around the world. Amazon Studios Original Content is available to Prime members and is known for bringing customers the Golden Globe-winning and Oscar-nominated films Manchester by the Sea and The Salesman, alongside the Golden Globe-winning and Emmy-winning series Transparent and Mozart in the Jungle. Prime members also have access to a collection of Amazon Original series for kids and an extensive library of Amazon feature films.
Amazon Studios Original Movies is looking for a Digital Content Manager to join its feature marketing and distribution team. We are seeking a team player who is results-oriented, has the ability to handle multiple titles/tasks and has a passion for independent film. This person would help supervise the creation of digital content assets including trailers, promos, tv spots, epk footage, clips and digital display ad creative and social media creative.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the creation of digital content for marketing for the films in distribution (various a/v materials: spots, reels, epks, featurettes)
• Liaise with post production team for collection of source materials and know how to meet delivery specs for content created
• Communicate with 3rd party partners in various windows and understand how to distribute within those platforms (Theatrical, International, TVOD & Prime)
• Obtain necessary approvals internally and communicate plans to relevant stakeholders
• Communicate with internal teams (legal, post production, business affairs) as well as the marketing and distribution on timelines and created content
• Communicate with external Amazon departments on content distribution within Amazon.com and other Amazon properties
• Work closely with Asset manager on distribution of assets
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 5 years in relevant marketing experience with a film studio and or entertainment/digital advertising agency
• Experience with creative development in the entertainment marketing industry
• Detailed expertise of the workflow needed for the creation of digital content and the ability to prioritize, monitor and manage workload
• Ablilty to deal with a varieity of creative personalities
• Basic understanding of certain legal documents such as paid ad restrictions and talent approvals.
• Basic understanding of language and format for various forms of post production and/or print/digital production
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Editorial and/or Adobe Suite experience
