Your strong knowledge and experience in media content has more than prepared you to lead this boutique-size content development and rights management firm. You are deeply familiar with screenplay development, above-the-line packaging of talent, directors, producers and other creative elements.
In other words - Movicorp's Chief Executive Officer.
Movicorp is re-launching in Q2 of 2017 with 4 classic, completed motion pictures to market, 200 hours of Elation TV's body-mind holistic video library to license, 4 new projects in development, and $750,000 in operating capital. Additional films and projects will be developed and acquired on an ongoing basis.
Media executive and film producer Robert Schnitzer is the Chairman protem of Movicorp. He is also the Chairman/CEO of Alternative Media Partners (''AMP''), which is providing operating capital to Movicorp. Mr. Schnitzer and Movicorp's board will replace Mr. Schnitzer within the first year of operations.
FY 1, we anticipate 3 full-time employees plus independent contractors, growing to 10 FYE5. So if you are interested in working for a sprawling enterprise with layers of management and thousands of employees, well, this may not be right for you.
The company is private; however, AMP intends to go public when the timing is right, currently targeting late 2017. Movicorp Media will own a small number of those shares.
Movicorp develops, packages, markets and arranges funding for feature films, mini-series, other series and series pilots. It also manages and monetizes its various rights associated with the company's media properties.
Your primary responsibility as President/CEO of Movicorp Media will be to direct the company, inside and out, to align with your vision, as approved by the board, for the company's future. This includes developing and monetizing high quality content and associated intellectual properties.
You often will be required to represent the company, sometimes with a high level of public visibility. Therefore, you typically will be required to attend important events such as public meetings, international conferences, and public events.
Budgeting, forecasting and meeting those numbers is another area over which you ultimately will be responsible. You will have the support of outside accountants and other consultants. Movicorp expects to hire a CFO FY3.
You will analyze the risks involved before making any major purchase or investment and advise or report to the board as to the potential for return on the investment.
As Movicorp Media's President/CEO, you also must be able to take in a large amount of information and develop a big-picture perspective to make precise and strategic decisions about the direction of the company.
Your command of the English language must be impeccable. Your marketing and sales skills must be world-class and proven to be highly-successful.
You must possess superior skills to work with and inspire a broad range of people and personalities, and a strong ability to resolve or prevent conflict. Your inter-personal skills are highly refined, as well your ability to communicate publicly.
Year 1 base salary is between $75,000-$125,000, depending on the usual factors. Plus stock, plus benefits, etc. Company currently is headquartered in Los Angeles. Interviews for this President/CEO position will take place in the coming weeks in Los Angeles, New York City, Seattle, Washington and Sedona, Arizona.
