Junior Graphic Designer -
Alchemy is a leading independent distributor of film and television content across all platforms and windows in North America. Alchemy develops tailored distribution strategies across all platforms, from theatrical release to DVD, digital, VOD, and television. The company has the largest footprint of any independent supplier to bricks and mortar businesses. It is also the leading supplier to digital platforms including iTunes, Netflix and VOD.
The Marketing department is currently seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join the Creative Services team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate contemporary design sensibility and possess strong layout and concept skills. Additionally, the individual must be a self-starter that has exceptional time management, organizational and communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ability to scale, re-format and build-out existing art to the specs of multiple platforms
* Capable of adapting creative style to match existing campaign and work with other designers' files
* Designing original art and mock-ups for presentations and packaging
* Ability to create print-ready mechanical layouts for various Home Video packaging, posters and consumer/trade ads
* Resizing of artwork to the specs of various media outlets
* Organizing and maintaining an archive of the art files and assets
* Strong proofing skills and an ability to recognize visual errors and inconsistencies
* Create contact sheets and manage delivered assets
* Other duties as assigned by Creative (filing, copying, etc.)
Minimum Requirements:
• 4 year college design degree desirable
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite software (emphasis on Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator). Working knowledge of Quark and Microsoft Office a plus.
• Highly organized and detail oriented; able to prioritize and complete multiple tasks and follow through to achieve project goals.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
