Based in Venice Beach, California, AOF designs entertainment properties and media promotions to create interactive, entertaining and informative customer experiences. AOF produces a music tour and integrated marketing campaign for Honda.
The Position:
AOF is seeking a Tour Documentarian to report on and create content for this year's Honda Civic Tours. The primary duty of the TD is to produce photo stills, video interviews and BHS, and blog / caption each piece of content by developing relationship and trust with artists and crew to obtain insider views. Secondary duties include capturing and documenting each event per a designated shot list. Candidate must have the physical and mental capacity to travel, live on a tour bus and work extended hours during a multiple week cross-country tour.
Approximate Work Term: November 19- December 21
TD Duties/Responsibilities
• Be the primary tour ''reporter'' and voice of the tour and touring staff
• Be able to report all newsworthy tour related items
• Edit and delivery video content
• Be savvy in all social media programs including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Vine and Snapchat
• Take multiple photographs per a daily ''shot list'' provided before the tour start
• Assist with load-in/setup and load-out/breakdown
o Decide on go pro placement during daily morning venue walk-thru
o Regularly maintain and check on all equipment throughout day
• Complete other TBD duties as assigned by Tour Manager
• Be in direct contact at all hours with MFI Digital Production Manager
o Relate info on concert that may be used in social media
o Send photos and information instantaneously
• Attentively watch all concert performances and document/photograph any moments that may be of interest
• Get release forms signed by those you photograph
• Uphold rules, regulations and etiquette according to standard of Honda and AOF
• Assist with bus housekeeping/cleaning
• Arrive for lobby/bus call on time
• Submit timesheets on timely, weekly basis
TD Requirements
• 21 years of age or older
• Have a valid driver's license/ID
• High School Diploma
• Pass background check
• Bilingual English-Spanish
• At least two years music / brand touring experience, preferably van touring experience
• 2+ years work experience in digital, online and/or social media-related field
• History of photographic recognition
• Video editing experience
• Ability to work long hours and around the clock as needed during multiple week long national tour
• Physical and mental capacity to live and travel in close quarters for an extended period of time
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs and move for extended periods of time
• Wear required uniform
• Participate in all training sessions
• Be savvy with computer, phone and photography equipment
• Some knowledge/experience with automotive brands and music a plus
• Necessary photo and video equipment
