Acorn TV, a fast-growing subscription streaming service that specializes in world-class TV from Britain and beyond, is seeking a marketing coordinator to assist with the development and implementation of strategies to achieve subscriber and revenue goals. This writing-intensive position will support Acorn TV's day-to-day marketing operations including acquisition and retention marketing, promotional partnerships, advertising, e-mail and social media communications, and O&O platform promotions and editorial programming.
Responsibilities include:
• Collaborate on marketing and communication strategies for major title launches and initiatives including assisting with the creation and execution of marketing plans;
• Collaborate on show-specific promotional activities, including development of editorial and ancillary content for program launches;
• Assist with maintaining and updating marketing calendar;
• Draft e-mail and social media communications; assist with maintaining posting schedule and email calendar;
• Assist with writing and editing program synopses, taglines, headlines, and other marketing copy;
• Work with content publishing team on show launches, including metadata and image creation;
• Create brand and title presentations, promotional assets, and sales collateral;
• Assist with review and approval of ad creative from agencies and other vendors;
• Manage asset delivery to various vendors and partners;
• Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Qualifications include:
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• 1-2 years' experience in consumer marketing
• Very strong copywriting and editorial skills
• Familiarity with design software like Adobe Photoshop
• Proficient in major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube)
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills
• A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Familiarity with HTML, email marketing programs, and Google Analytics is a plus
