AGMB is looking for a legal assistant for its Los Angeles office. The position will provide a broad range of day-to-day administrative support for both entertainment attorneys and litigators.
Job Duties:
• Prepare, revise and distribute clearance releases, fee agreements, cover letters, conflict waivers, and other documents, as needed.
• Provide timely, professional, and thorough administrative support to attorneys (mail, FedEx, couriers, faxes, copies, filing, etc.)
• Create, modify and redline documents using Microsoft Word and proofread documents for grammatical and typographical errors.
• Maintain billing spreadsheet for each attorney.
• Compose letters and emails as requested.
• Maintain status reports and routinely follow-up on time-sensitive matters with third party contacts.
• Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor Degree from a four-year college or university.
• Exposure to the entertainment industry desirable.
• Prior studio, network, or law firm experience desirable.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills in-person and on the telephone.
• Extremely detail-oriented and excellent grammatical and writing skills.
• Excellent word processing skills using the MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to be flexible and available to work overtime when needed.
• A positive, tenacious and energetic can-do attitude.
• An excellent work ethic and commitment to professionalism.
• Demonstrated experience handling high volume and constant work flow.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
