Broadway Video is a full-service production company most noted for its work with ''Saturday Night Live,'' ''Portlandia,'' and ''The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.'' Broadway Video is comprised of Television, Film, Editorial, Audio, Enterprises, Ventures and Above Average divisions.
Above Average Productions is the digital division of Broadway Video, the comedy network bringing together different voices with the same mission: to make high quality stuff that makes you laugh.
Above Average is currently seeking production interns for the Fall 2014 semester. We are looking for ambitious, self-starting interns to assist in all aspects of the production process. Students will gain knowledge and experience on a variety of productions (web series, interviews & branded commercials).
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Assisting the production coordinator with daily office tasks
• Researching digital content & web series
• Working with producers on pre-production (researching locations, props & costumes)
• Performing runs throughout New York City
• Assisting the production manager on set (helping the crew, wrangling talent, deliveries, etc.)
Requirements:
• Students must be currently enrolled in a full-time accredited college or university and eligible to earn college credit.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional attitude, focus, patience, determination
• Strong passion for comedy based entertainment, including all things television, film and most importantly digital content
• Studies focusing on television & film production, social media, creative/writing & production design.
• Experience on set is a plus, but not required
• Post-production skills (FCP, Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects) are a plus, but not required
