Department: Digital Media
A+E Networks is seeking an ambitious, goal-oriented digital marketer to fuel growth across the company's portfolio of consumer facing websites, mobile applications, and social games. Supporting digital products for A&E, HISTORY, Lifetime, bio., H2 and LMN, this individual will manage day-to-day SEO, SEM, and display advertising, while leading the development and execution of a broader digital audience development strategy.
•Oversee annual marketing budget for Digital Media division, routing funds to opportunities that deliver the greatest possible ROI
•Relentlessly focus on driving key performance indicators (KPIs), including video views, app installs, game plays and virtual goods revenue
•Serve as the primary liaison between A+E Digital and external media agencies, creative agencies, and marketing technology partners
•Partner with Digital Ad Sales team to grow revenue by driving consumers to digital destinations that are monetizing most efficiently
SEM & DISPLAY ADVERTISING:
•Lead development and management of online, mobile and social advertising campaigns
•Review and approve display ad creative, search ad copy, segmentation strategy, bid management structure, etc.
•Drive campaign optimization by testing new techniques, analyzing performance data, and aggressively shifting resources to top performing campaign elements
•Build awareness for product launches, with specific focus on new games and mobile applications
•Vet, onboard and manage relationships with emerging marketing vendor services, technologies, and solutions
SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION:
•Increase the visibility of A+E web properties on key search engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing, Ask, AOL) through the execution of SEO best practices
•Project manage SEO initiatives - defining, documenting and tracking requirements through each phase of development from inception to launch – Partnering with site producers, editors, designers, and developers to ensure that agency recommendations are implemented effectively for all assets
•Assist with link building, social media, online PR and digital grassroots efforts that benefit SEO
OTHER:
•Partner with Consumer Marketing teams to ensure that digital audience development efforts support broader organizational goals including branding, tune-in, and ratings growth
•Manage internal display ad trafficking system, working with internal teams to prioritize and implement campaigns
•Educate coworkers on digital marketing best practice guidelines and collaborate with external agency to deliver training sessions
•Manage 1-2 employee(s), while overseeing external agencies, consultants and technology partners
Required Experience:
•7-10 years marketing experience, with 5+ years in a digital environment
•Proven track record of ''moving the needle'' through the creation, implementation and management of large scale, multi-platform digital marketing campaigns
•Passionate about search, display, mobile, social, gaming and digital entertainment with finger on the pulse of the latest industry trends
•Expert level knowledge of white hat SEO techniques, Social Media optimization, and Mobile advertising methods
•Comprehensive understanding of each element of paid search (bid management, keyword targeting, quality score optimization, copy writing, landing page selection, etc.)
•Adept at buying media through an array of business models, including CPM, CPC, CPA, and CPI based pricing of both reserved media and auction based media across individual sites, apps, ad networks and ad exchanges
•Strong analytical skill set, capable of analyzing and reacting to digital performance data. Working knowledge of CRM metrics pertaining to Customer Lifetime Value, Customer acquisition costs, Retention, Churn, and Virality. Experience with web analytics tools including Omniture, Google Analytics, and Google Webmaster Tools
•Familiarity with html, CSS, Flash, MRSS, CMS tools, IA best practices, and the technical components of online video / gaming
•Versatility to excel at both direct marketing and brand marketing initiatives
•Extremely detail oriented with exceptional organizational and project management skills, accustomed to multitasking in a fast-paced environment
•Big picture thinker, who won't hesitate to dive into the weeds when necessary
•Extraordinary communication and interpersonal skills
•Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Required Education:
4 year BA/BS. MBA or other Masters degree in Marketing, Business, Digital field preferred
