POSITION SUMMARY
The VP, Human Resources will act as the HR leader for the A E Network's Strategic Resource Functions (including Finance, Legal, HR, Operations and IT), as well as provide oversight for corporate Learning & Development and Diversity programs. As an HR Leader, you will partner closely with management team members to cascade corporate business goals and proactively analyze and strategize organizational development. You will also lead a small team of generalists and coordinators in communicating and executing HR functions, programs and processes for their assigned divisions. In this role you will utilize your experience and expertise to build relationships, solve problems, and develop and execute objectives for yourself and others, while effecting seamless change management.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
•Work with leaders and employees to maintain and further develop the company's unique culture, which encourages employees to be Bold, Inspiring and Authentic in everything they do
•Partner with business leaders to develop and communicate specific business goals, to ensure teams are aligned in their vision
•Proactively analyze organizational structures to find opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness
•Lead generalists and coordinators in providing best in class client support, including the execution of all HR functions, programs and processes for their assigned divisions located in New York, NY and Stamford, CT (as well as partner with the HR Director in Los Angeles, CA), including recruiting, performance management and consistent application and integration of policies, procedures, and practices
•Act as an employee advocate and help drive various corporate / division business initiatives
•Be responsible for investigations, conflict resolution, employee communications, and management coaching
Required Experience:
•Minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist
Working knowledge of and experience managing staff and employee relations
Working knowledge of and experience managing talent management functions such as learning and development, succession planning and performance management
Knowledge of best practices in HR issues impacting today's workforce
Good understanding of employment law
Demonstrable change management execution experience
•Willingness and ability to travel, as required
•Strong oral and written communication skills
•Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
•Legal authorization to work in the United States
•Successful completion of a background investigation
Required Education:
•Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
