Full Time Unpaid Internship
The Intern with eh Ad Sales Partnerships: A&E department will be responsible for; Creating efficiencies and tracking mechanisms within the department. Organizing in-house materials such as on-air and digital creative through-starters and help out team to organize/combine documents used by the eon-air and digital team. The intern will go behind the scenes in an Ad Sales/Marketing environment in Cable TV both in linear and digital departments.
• Watch A&E and Lifetime series or pilots and create a list of 3
good partnership targets to approach
• Create white sheets for A&E for all series and certain high-level
specials
• Cull through drama scripts looking for potential advertiser
conflicts and/or good targets
• Work with Partnerships Movies to create a 14/15 movie target list
for each network with synopsis, key talent, and release windows by
studio
• Audit/learn basics from key Ad Sales divisions (P&I, SSRs, ISPs,
ASM, On-Air Marketing)
• Attend an edit session
• Work with Production to help reconcile/organize invoices from Ad
Sales Marketing/Partnerships
• Spend a day with each PA to learn about what they do ''behind the
scenes''
• Work to create a library of current shows and pilots, can be in
conjunction with Ad Sales Marketing
• Work to create and/or maintain a library of pitched opportunities
from 14/15 Upfront
• Review bi-weekly competitive report, pulling out interesting
examples to be presented at partnerships meetings
Required Experience:
College undergraduates who are, at a minimum, entering their sophomore year in 2013 or graduate students having completed at least one semester of post graduate work. Student must have a demonstrated interest in the industry and/or specific area of interest (i.e. marketing), as exemplified through past work experience, internships and/or major course of study, and preferably a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
