This position reports to the Chief Technology Officer, leader for the Information Technology department at A E Networks, and is a key strategic manager in the department. The Sr. Director, Program Management Office plans, directs, and ensures the successful management of business solutions utilizing the complete resources of the Program Management Office and assigned project teams. In addition, this individual is responsible for working with all IT heads and Finance to manage/analyze budgets. Legal contract management for the department is also a function of this role. This individual maintains excellent communication with upper management both within and across organizations to ensure successful project implementations. This position is responsible for leading the Program Management Office in a mature and organization-focused manner and has expert experience in Project/Program Management. The focus for the Senior Director is driving organizational effectiveness and accountability and equally serves as a key liaison with the IT Operations, Strategy & Innovation, and Application Development teams and business clients facilitating planning, prioritization and collaboration between groups.
•Ensures that investments and initiatives in project management services are aligned with business strategy and priorities.
•Prioritizes programs and projects based on changing functional needs, resource capacity, risk exposure, and their interdependencies.
•Develop project tracking program and implement project budgeting tool to enable ''on time management'' for project cost, timelines (milestone achievements), and resource utilization.
•Drives the adoption and implementation of project and program management methodology and oversees project and program management coaching.
•Monitors value metrics to make informed decisions that maximizes returns across enterprise projects and programs. Hands-on experience in project/portfolio resource planning, reporting, prioritization, and budgeting.
•Manages a portfolio of project and program management services including analysis, execution and delivery of projects across the enterprise.
•Monitors the delivery of business objectives and client experience for PMO services.
•Partners with IT and business unit leaders to develop project and program resourcing strategies to ensure optimum support for projects and daily operational activities.
•Engages with cross-functional business leaders to objectively analyze the organization's ability to absorb change, adopt project and programs, and measure Return on Success.
•Provides clear and concise communication of the project and program portfolio to all stakeholders in business & IT units.
•Serves as the overall subject-matter expert in Project Management knowledge areas.
•Fosters an environment for team and individual growth and success by providing mentoring and training in Project management established processes, policies, and procedures.
•Establish a program to ensure utilization and maturation of best practice project management standards and methodologies.
•Manages overall IT department project and provides analysis
•Mentors and manages the roles of Senior Project Managers and Coordinators, Process Manager and Coordinators, and Business Manager.
•Manages IT department budget and works closely with IT heads and Finance to establish fiscal accountability, process, measurement and effective analysis.
•Manages all legal contracts in IT and works with IT heads and legal to prioritize and optimize the legal pipeline.
Required Experience:
•15 years progressive project and program management experience with proven experience in implementing major change initiatives.
•Experience leading successful large scale projects and programs across an enterprise utilizing external providers, offshore resources and internal staff.
•Strong department accounting experience.
•Experience building high performing teams by promoting values, ideas and achieving consensus as well as coaching and mentoring skills.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels.
•PMP certification with extensive knowledge of Agile and SDLC Project Methodology.
Required Education:
•Bachelors or Master's degree in Business, Communications, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
