he Senior Director of Global Enterprise Solutions will work with the Global IT Operations leadership team to develop and maintain our Global IT Strategic Plan. Educate and influence internal partners on best-practice approaches building a robust, resilient, scalable and highly virtualized and secure infrastructure. Develop and present solutions and build relationships at the senior level across key business units and groups. Must be able to explain complex technical and analytical concepts using laymen's terms while articulating their value.
Applies analytic and technical knowledge to provide customers, peers, and direct reports with strategic advice and direction. Independently addresses complex implementation and technical issues when consulting with clients and the business. Advises stakeholders of any breakdown in communication or potential loss of service, recommends options and ensures corrective action is taken. Directly and indirectly carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. These responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Lead cross-functional working teams to coordinate implementations and roll-outs across the globe and launch on schedule. Develop an efficient, predictable process for establishing operations in new countries. Partner with regional teams in all phases of planning and execution. This position is responsible for working across all infrastructure foundations (design, build, implement, support, maintain, scale, and evolve) to comprehend and recommend improvements and enhancements to existing and all future implementations. This person will set the direction for all current and future projects and processes for operations around the globe.
Responsible for the planning, evaluation, implementation, compliance, and service delivery of IT infrastructure & Corporate Security initiatives. Assess the relative impact of IT Industry trends to current and future enterprise infrastructure needs and projects, including management of internal and external services. Works with business unit executives and IT functional area management to define infrastructure support initiatives and solutions for improving service efficiency and effectiveness. The infrastructure includes platform architecture, computer systems, data centers, core utilities, storage, backup/recovery, and business continuity planning for disaster recovery.
Design and Build a Global Technology Infrastructure:
•Oversee all design and built activities within Global Enterprise Solution and multiple data centers.
•Analyze business and technical requirements to determine system designs, potential risks and issues, and related costs for each project request, all based on best practices.
•Using in-depth knowledge of Cloud and Virtualization technologies, implement a solution that is global and scalable.
•Maintain expertise in the area of infrastructure design and architecture, strategies, and products to ensure that a multi-year investment strategy is in place to support future business needs and global operations.
•Participate significantly in architecting a consistent, well-integrated, enterprise approach to the deployment of our technology stack and services.
•Produce design documents to effectively convey and hand over infrastructure architecture to other departments for successful systems engineering, implementation, and support.
•Plan and manage the execution of implementation projects, including day-to-day project management, issues and risk management, scope management, and regular status reporting.
•Coordinate and lead activities within a technical engagement (e.g. architecture analysis, architecture modeling, architecture design, requirements definition, roadmap, etc.)
•Participate in IT strategy planning activities, bringing a current knowledge and future vision of infrastructure technology and systems and best practices related to the needs of the business.
•Work effectively with all levels of internal management to resolve customer problems and opportunities using proven persuasion and negotiation skills.
•Responsible for the IT service delivery model to include servers, network solutions, storage, backup/recover/archiving, corporate security, disaster recovery and compliance and other technology platforms shared across the enterprise, in both internal and hosted environments as appropriate.
•Develop and implement strategic direction and short and long range enterprise IT infrastructure goals and objectives.
Collaborate with IT business partners & customers:
•Present options and actively problem solve with customers and business partners.
•Establish positive, long-term relationships with customers and peers, as well as demonstrate a high level of consultative behavior and application of in-depth technical knowledge when dealing with customers.
•Align architectural strategy with business objectives and global expansion initiatives.
•Deliver and present designs that meet business requirements including budget and timelines.
•Demonstrate expertise and leadership in problem solving.
•Work with Business users, Project/Program Management, Engineers, Systems Administrators, Application Developers, Architects, Data Base Administrators, Operations personnel, and Vendors to prevent or solve difficult performance problems.
•Interact with technical leaders to develop innovative solutions that meet company and market needs with respect to availability, functionality, performance, reliability, repeatability, and scalability.
•Provide leadership in business or process planning and guidance to customers and other stakeholders during the solution identification process.
•Work closely with the Applications group to prepare strategies and define Infrastructure requirements in advance of application development and gain an intimate knowledge of the application architecture.
•In partnership with various organizations across the enterprise, analyze, drive, manage and measure activities within the enterprise.
Develop and manage Corporate Security and Disaster Recovery Practice:
•Develop design standards and guidelines, and mentor other architects and engineers on best practices.
•Contribute significantly to feature prioritization and systems architecture.
•Focuses on the standards and technologies for enabling systems performance qualities, such as availability, scalability, resilience, recoverability, etc
•Develop implementation strategies that preserve the availability, performance, integrity, stability, and scalability of systems, consistent with cost constraints.
•Ability to strategically analyze the risks, benefits, and opportunities associated with a solution.
•Oversee a team consisting of Disaster Recover, Business Continuity, and Compliance analysts.
Leadership and Mentoring to direct reports and IT staff:
•Demonstrate Technical Infrastructure Architectural knowledge, playing a vital role in the design of production, staging, QA and development infrastructures running in 24x7 environments.
•Must be well versed in and have experience with ITIL, infrastructure and security design, standards, IT policies and procedures, and technology best practices for the enterprise.
