Sales Service Representative (temporary)
POSITION SUMMARY:
The purpose of the position is to assist an Account Executive in his/her efforts to maximize advertising revenue for A&E Networks. This is a professional position where the individual will handle all facets of the sales process and be a decision-maker with the exception of sales negotiations and serious problems that might arise.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Generate and revise orders to traffic as well as the following:
•Do revisions for program schedule changes.
•Negotiate make goods and preemptions.
•Create and upkeep deal forms.
•Assist Sales Planners with pulling reports, i.e. stewardship reports, Adviews, Hoovers.
Create and type correspondence:
•Order letters, cutback and expansion letters, schedule change letters.
•Proofreading, preparing letters for the Account Executive.
•Maintain client list in CMAS.
Assist Account Executive in prepatory work for sales support:
•Assemble media kits.
Daily primary contact and follow-up with clients on:
•Monitor and execute client requests, i.e. pod positions, category sensitivity, competitive spending, program changes, tune ins and vignettes.
•Answer questions about schedules.
•Execute network schedule changes.
•Invoices.
•Logtimes.
•EDI (Electronic Data Interchange).
•Program content/disclaimers/descriptions.
•Flight changes.
•Brand allocations.
Provide backup when needed to Sales Planners:
•Assist in preparing presentations.
•Assist with the post letters to clients.
•Sending correspondence to clients for make-goods, i.e. ADU's, recapturable units.
Required Experience:
College degree preferred (BA/BS). Knowledge of Word & Excel strongly preferred. Candidate must possess excellent communication & organizational skills with ability to prioritize in a fast paced environment. The SSR position requires an individual who is a team player and who can handle multiple tasks at one time.
