POSITION SUMMARY
Support the Sr. Director in the development and implementation of primary research utilized to leverage A E brands in the sales marketplace. Research manager must assist the Sr. Director in managing custom research programs that address advertising effectiveness and harness actionable consumer insights.
PRIMARY DUTIES
• Support and project manage custom ad effectiveness research
o Work closely with the Sr. Director to design, execute and manage highly custom research studies that prove the effectiveness of advertiser sponsorships across all platforms.
o Craft client research proposals that address the business objectives and offer varying creative solutions; vet/ select vendors that best align with business needs; design study and manage the vendor relationship during study execution; evaluate results; and assist with presentation development
• Manage the A E Networks viewer panels
o Act as primary contact for the viewer panel and maintain panel performance. Work with Sr. Director to leverage consumer insights for internal sales initiatives and develop ideas for clients to link their brands with our engaged and influential audiences.
o Support the Sr. Director in monthly survey and quick poll topics for each network; facilitate survey drafting and data analysis; program/deploy surveys and quick polls from the panel survey tool; collaborate with internal departments to procure promotional assets; work with panel vendor to maintain panel health, manage survey calendar and respondent engagement.
• Partner with linear sales research associates in developing strategic client pitches
o Support research Directors in building holistic viewer/consumer profiles (e.g. including social media metrics, STB data, fusion analyses, etc.); identify opportunities for collaboration to drive business development (e.g. leverage studies, data beyond what the lines sales research team is utilizing to support client pitches); take initiative in conceiving project ideas based on business needs and opportunities
Required Experience:
College Degree with a minimum of 5 years Primary Research experience in media (TV or Digital) preferred. Quantitative Research Analysis and Questionnaire Development & Design experience. Solid Knowledge of Research Systems and Office/Presentation Software. Must be a creative and strategic thinker with ability to juggle multiple projects and reprioritize projects on a moment's notice.
