Position Summary
Responsibilities include providing research-based analyses and estimates to support Lifetime programming, scheduling, marketing, and PR departments. Keep management updated on trends and assist in the development of strategies, presentations, and pertinent data in positioning the network in the marketplace.
Primary Duties
• Fulfill internal requests for ratings tracking and analyses.
• Provide performance highlights of key premieres, series, and schedule changes.
• Fully understand the TV landscape and track competitive performance.
• Produce standard weekly and monthly reports.
• Interface with the sales research team on various projects such as estimates.
• Work frequently with the VP on key strategic projects.
• Play a mentoring role to the analysts, fostering morale and creating a team environment
Required Experience:
BA/BS degree and 3 years of television research experience at a cable network, rep firm, syndicator, broadcast network or ad agency. Strong familiarity with Nielsen data and terminology. Excellent analytical and written communication skills are essential. Candidate must be detail-oriented and a strategic thinker.
