Full Time Job
Position Summary: The Director, Multiplatform Analytics, will utilize multiplatform data and business modeling to develop data-driven strategy across various A E departments, both from the viewership and monetization stand points.
Primary duties include:
• Work in partnership with VP, Distribution & Multiplatform Analytics to develop a comprehensive data strategy for the Analytics group, by proactively evaluating all available data sources and identifying potential synergies between them.
• Develop new multiplatform metrics and innovative analyses. Build future projections based on current and forecasted viewership patterns.
• Work with internal stakeholders, external vendors and distribution partners to identify, aggregate, standardize and evaluate multiplatform viewership data across all A E Networks' brands and platforms. Own relationship with 3rd party data aggregator (currently MediaMorph).
• Determine the impact of growing non-linear platforms (Mobile, Broadband, SVOD, OTT) on traditional linear business and viewership.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Business Development, Ad Sales, Distribution, Digital Media, Finance, etc.) to evaluate monetary value of each platform. Merge viewing data with revenues generated by each platform to develop a complete viewership vs. monetization picture to inform A E Networks' multiplatform strategy.
• Work with Business Development, Distribution and Ad Sales teams to develop revenue levers for evaluation of new business opportunities, including SVOD, OTT, C7, FF Disabling, etc. Create revenue models, assess risks / opportunities, provide analytical support, and make implementation recommendations to senior executive.
• Build working relationships with distribution partners (Comcast, DirecTV, Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.) to gain greater access to viewership data (including Set-Top-Box data) and develop actionable insights based on available information.
• Develop and conduct presentations, designed to educate senior members of the company as well as industry peers on multiplatform measurement and analytics.
Required
Experience:
• 6 years of media or related data analytics experience
• College degree. MBA or comparable graduate degree strongly preferred
• An understanding of TV, VOD, online and other audience measurement systems (e.g. Nielsen, Rentrak, Omniture, etc.).
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel, as well as the ability to work with large data sets
• Strong quantitative skills, including both analytical abilities as well as math proficiency
• Intellectual curiosity, superior presentation skills, exceptional eye for detail and passion for media industry
