Position Summary:
This consumer marketing role will work to extend the HISTORY brand through strategic brand partnerships and advertising promotions/partnerships within the on-air, digital, social, and consumer promotion space. This role will work with ad sales to assist in translating their client's objectives within the filter of the brand with the focus of building programs that can live beyond TV. This role will also be the consumer marketing's day to day point person in working with consumer activation/experiential agencies (e.g. Civic Entertainment Group) to concept/execute programs and strategic brand partnerships. Additionally, this role will work intimately with on-air sales integration to provide insight, assistance and help to streamline the ideation creation and approval process.
Description:
Consistent ideation and meetings with brand partners, ad sales, distribution, media, digital/social, pr, consumer products, outreach, and partner agencies to develop strategic on and off-air brand extensions
Build and manage relationships with appropriate brand partners in order to create relevant and meaningful marketing extensions and generate media value and brand/property awareness
Manage consumer promotion process and execution within the brand group from brainstorm through execution across all platforms (on-air, digital, social, etc.); Work with ad sales and all necessary departments to build appropriate materials and details for brand pitches
Maintain constant communication and weekly check-ins with ad sales/distribution; manage ad sales/distribution workload and requests to the consumer marketing team
Concept strong creative brand partnerships and consumer promotion/activation experiences that drive forward HISTORY's business
Manage the RFP and pitch process with consumer promotion agency partners and work with marketing managers and stakeholders to ensure efforts are executed to the best of ability
Manage workload/hours for Civic Entertainment Group and partner agencies
Required Experience:
Understanding of marketing partnerships from conception to execution
Proven track record in building partnerships and co-marketing opportunities; 5-10 years
Ability to manage multiple personalities within different departments
Worked within the brand entertainment and promotion space at a blue chip brand (e.g. American Express) and/or experience of product partnerships within the movie/entertainment space (e.g. Marvel, Sony, etc )
