Position Summary:
The Director of International Digital Media is responsible for supporting and growing A E's brands and programming outside the US through digital content and marketing initiatives. Working in partnership with stakeholders from our international offices and our domestic business, the Director of International Digital Media will develop content and social media campaigns to promote A E's key programming abroad, as well as oversee two B2B sites used by all of our International partners and clients for program sales and content selection.
Responsibilities:
1. Content Development & Distribution:
- Partner with A E International offices to provide digital strategy, content and marketing campaigns around key programming initiatives
- Develop digital content to support International tent pole programming
- Coordinate with US Digital team to access and localize domestic content for international markets
- Support Digital Distribution activities through content curation and delivery
- Take the lead on ad hoc digital projects such as new gaming, mobile or over-the-top distribution opportunities
- Drive international digital ad sales efforts through the creation of content to support pan-regional integrated ad sales deals
- Manage third party vendors to develop digital content and video
- Work with legal/rights team to ensure all digital content distributed internationally is cleared for the specific markets
2. Social Media:
- Develop social media strategy and programs to support program marketing and new channel launches
- Coordinate with US Social Media & Marketing teams
3. B2B Site Management:
- Business owner for the Channel Partner and Program Sales sites -- conduit with IT, Int'l Programming, Program Sales and Intl Sales & Marketing
- Manage B2B site product development pipeline
- Oversee content, marketing and creative updates to the sites
- Work with IT and Program Sales to develop digital B2B products (apps, newsletters, CRM etc.) to support sales efforts and trade events
4. Organization & Management:
- Create and manage workflows between US Digital Content, US Digital Tech, Legal, US Marketing, Intl Marketing, Int'l Ad Sales and Intl Ops
- Manage B2B site editor
- Manage International Digital Media budget
Required Experience:
Requirements:
• BA/BS in a related field
• 7-10 yrs. of experience developing video and other content for web, social and mobile
• Creative idea generator and strong brand strategist -- ability to think both creatively and strategically about content development
• Expertise managing content workflows and operations; demonstrated ability to plan and manage projects
• Knowledge of and experience using content management systems, esp. Drupal and WordPress
• Strong understanding of web, social, mobile and emerging technology trends
• Understanding of digital performance metrics
• Experience managing RFPs and vendors
• Finesse managing and coordinating across different departments and stakeholders; ability to manage and set internal stakeholders' expectations
• Strong communication skills, and team ethic
• Experience developing and/or executing social media campaigns a plus
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS a plus
• Prior experience working with international offices or abroad a plus
