The Director will address the growing need for strategic business modeling and the demand for new performance metrics to support the efforts of various departments within Distribution: National Accounts, Field Sales, Business Development, Marketing and Operations. This role will also be responsible for leading TV Everywhere data ingestion, aggregation, reporting, and impact analysis.
Required Experience:
- design, create, and develop business models for SVOD distribution partners
- Develop business cases with current distribution partners to leverage A E Networks' content into greater revenue opportunities.
- work with 3rd party data providers to get relevant data on A E Networks, our competition, and the impact of new distribution streams on the overall television business
- Build knowledge of how social media can impact distribution and define the necessary steps to use social media to create additional demand for A E Networks as well as prevent subscriber loss during contentions distribution negotiations.
- Create greater data use efficiencies for the distribution team
Required Education:
4 yr college graduate. High level of expertise in MS suite (Excel, PowerPoint), programs that allow quick manipulation of data. Proficient in research systems related to linear TV, Digital, and other emerging platforms (Social, etc) 5 years of television research experience. Previous experience in ad supported cable landscape; prior work with cable distributors, or brand research with heavy quantitative background a plus. Needs to be able to toggle between roles, projects and reporting systems
