Coord, Non-Fiction Programming (temporary)
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a self-starter, detail oriented, technologically-savvy individual to serve as Programming Coordinator for Lifetime Unscripted Series. Located in the Los Angeles office, this position would be responsible for supporting two VP's of Unscripted Series. Specifically, this position would:
• Maintain executive's daily schedule and continuously follow-up with executives regarding calendar updates to ensure it is accurate.
• Handle a heavy volume of incoming calls and constantly update call log.
• Publish weekly status reports as well as maintain a submissions log used to track projects and their status.
• Manage meeting preparation and follow through including: scheduling/setting up conference room, preparing agenda, presentations, preparing research, people and company profiles, press clippings, audio-visual materials and any additional required materials.
• Complete special projects by establishing objectives, determining priorities, managing time, gaining cooperation of others, monitoring progress, problem-solving, and making adjustments to plans.
• Schedule pitch meetings, notes meetings, and general creative meetings; manage the flow of incoming and outgoing material from the network.
• Coordinate travel arrangements and other administrative duties (i.e. processing travel and expense reports, filing, ordering supplies, photocopying, and organizing the VPs office.)
• Prepare expense reports and check requests, submit to finance and keep track of payments.
Required Experience:
Job Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a four year college degree and a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar administrative role, supporting an executive is required. Extensive entertainment or agency experience, with exposure to unscripted programming preferred. In addition the successful candidate must possess the following:
• Highly organized team-player who successfully operates in a team-oriented setting.
• Strong communication skills, judgment, and people skills.
• Must have the ability to be discrete and maintain confidential information as well as the ability to work independently, efficiently and able to meet deadlines.
• Strong writing skills are a plus as well as the ability to multi-task.
• Highly motivated and self-starter, candidate would help identify new writers, new directors, as well as help identify and track down possible projects for the movie division as well.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred; ability to generate Excel charts and Power Point presentations is a plus.
