Artists Simply Human provides an unequaled dance experience that challenges dancers as artists, inspiring them to be the best they can be in both dance and life. Through renowned faculty instruction and feedback, outstanding live production value, top notch photo and video production, and cutting edge apparel design, ASH focuses on the dancer. Their growth throughout each event is on the forefront of how we gauge our success. We want everyone to feel embraced with connection and warmth from our collective staff, crew, assistants and faculty.
Our Regional Tour consists of 20 events in cities across the United States from October to July featuring three days of workshop classes as well as a Performance Showcase, which is an opportunity for dancers to perform their pieces in a supportive and non-competitive environment while receiving video critiques from the ASH Faculty.
The Front-of-House Manager reports directly to the Convention Manager and oversees a Staff of 3 to 4 at each event. The Front-of-House Manager is an integral part of the convention team as he or she is responsible for overseeing the entire front-of-house operations from open to close each day, including both the Photo/Video Booth and the Merchandise Booth throughout each event. The Front-of-House Manager is responsible for ensuring classes and teachers run on time, ordering appropriate inventory, managing inventory throughout the convention season, financial settlements each day and wrapping up each event. During the event, the Front-of-House Manager will be assisting Staff and addressing issues that may arise. In addition, the Front-of-House Manager will lead the Staff in load-in/load-out, set-up/break-down of the lobby, Merchandise and Photo/Video at the start and end of each event.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Proficiency in Mac computer systems
Ability to use internet based, small business-oriented platforms (Shopkeep, Constant Contact, Asana, etc.)
Light experience with financial settlements and basic accounting principles.
Sales/Customer service background.
Database Experience or ability to learn it quickly.
Experience managing different personalities in a non-traditional work environment.
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Time management and multi-tasking skills.
Reliability, punctuality and ability to work in a deadline oriented team atmosphere.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Ensuring class schedules run on time.
Setup of Merchandise and Merchandise Sales.
Photo/Video Department Setup and Sales.
Assist Convention Manager and other Staff with the Registration Process.
Various duties and tasks to successfully run the event.
Sales/Customer Service.
Assistance with load in and load out (limited).
Travel:
Candidates must be able and available to travel to each event via airplane from your home airport on Thursday and return on Monday following each event. Flight, hotel, and transportation to and from the host city airport are covered by ASH. Front of House Manager is responsible for their own transportation to and from their home airport.
