Job Description:
The Senior Director, Total Rewards and HRIS will be responsible for the oversight of ASCAP's health and welfare, qualified and nonqualified retirement benefits, and other employee benefits. This includes managing 3rd party relationships, ongoing proactive administration and management for each benefit plan offered, insuring all benefit plans are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and managing overall annual benefits expense budget.
This position will be responsible for managing ASCAP's compensation program, which includes administering the annual merit increases and short-term incentive plans, developing and updating the salary grades, and job analysis and benchmarking.
Additional responsibilities include complete oversight of the HRIS and Performance Management System. This includes system implementations, updates and upgrades as necessary, maintenance of the system data, ad hoc reporting, and maximizing of system features and capabilities.
The Senior Director, Total Rewards and HRIS is a member of the Benefits and Investment Committee and provides detailed analysis on benefits and compensation as requested by Senior Management.
Areas of responsibility/accountability:
• Manage and oversee all aspects of ASCAP's benefit program including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long term care, disability, FSA, pre-tax transit, qualified and non-qualified retirement programs.
• Ensure all benefit plans, plan administration and procedures, plan documents, and summary plan descriptions are in compliance with ERISA and other laws and regulations.
• Responsible for the overall benefits expense budget which includes developing the annual expenses, forecasting and projecting expenses, and overseeing invoice processing and payments.
• turnover reports, employee census reports, and other ad hoc reports as need.
• Oversee annual benefits open enrollment activities and all health and wellness initiatives.
• Responsible for creating annual employee benefit statements.
• Develop benefit policy and procedures. Recommend benefit plan design and benefit administration changes to support company-wide objectives and goals.
• Develop, update and maintain company grade structure and ranges.
• Reviews market benchmark surveys, analyzes competitive market data and develops recommendations for updates to job hierarchy and levels, salary structures and bonus targets, as appropriate.
• Analyze job descriptions and recommend base salaries and FLSA status to managers and HR recruiter.
• Ability to work with financial metrics and data with an understanding of how benefits and compensation design impacts financial outcomes.
• Oversee system implementation, updates and upgrades as needed
• Maximize capabilities of HRIS and performance management system
• Periodic data audits and data review to maintain system integrity
• Manage performance appraisal, merit increase and STIP administrative processes
• Support various projects as a lead or team member as required.

• Oversee annual regulatory filing and testing requirements such as non-discrimination testing, Form 5500 government form filings, and PBGC Premium filings and payments.
• Key participant in annual pension plan and 401(k) financial audits, which includes working with both the third party independent auditor and the Finance Department in the creation of the annual audited financial statement.
• Responsible for creating miscellaneous human resources reports including but limited to company
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field.
• At least 7 years of progressive, related compensation and benefits administration experience including experience with qualified and non-qualified retirement plans.
• Ability to work with vendors, auditors, legal counsel and other third-party providers for annual renewal, plan design, compliance and plan interpretation discussions.
• Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS and DOL regulations.
• Proficient Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and/or Cornerstone Performance Management System
• Strong analytical capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communication and management skills/abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects at once. Excellent prioritization skills.
• Strong knowledge of rules, regulations and laws pertaining to the design, implementation and operation of compensation and benefit plans and programs.
