APA PR seeks a full-time Account Executive to support the agency's public relations division, with a specific focus on entertainment clientele. Candidate should have two years of experience in the communications field, with a passion for PR and the entertainment business. Candidates should be organized, detail-oriented, and possess strong communication skills. Applicants must also be motivated individuals who have worked in a fast-paced environment, and can showcase a proven track record of media placements. Familiarity with entertainment media is preferred. This specific role will assist with day-to-day activities on our entertainment clients, such as pitching media, tracking client coverage, compiling media lists, conducting research for client reports, assisting at client events/staffing red carpets and executing PR strategies.
Qualifications:
• 2 years of professional experience within public relations, with a strong focus on entertainment. Experience preferably related to working within an agency or on an in-house level for TV networks, studios, event production teams, and/or with talent.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure and demonstrate a high level of maturity.
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills - a self-described ''people-person,'' comfortable speaking with all levels of an organization.
• Successful track record of effectively executing public relation programs.
• Digitally savvy.
• Possess strong writing skills with specific experience creating pitches, press releases, reports and leading general client communications.
• Ability to work collaboratively with all teammates, across a variety of clientele.
• Experience in coordinating and supporting entertainment events.
• Successful track record of garnering media on the national and local level.
• Avid consumer of media with an in depth understanding of social media verticals.
• Strong multi-tasker. Able to expertly manage multiple relationships, duties and clients simultaneously.
