Are you an entertainment news junkie? ABC7, the number one station in Los Angeles, is looking for web-savvy, full and part-time online entertainment producers and bloggers to cover all the glamour and style of the entertainment world for abc7 and our entertainment news Web site, OnTheRedCarpet. The right candidates know who's on the red carpet (and who should be there next time). Strong editorial skills and the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment are a must. Successful candidates will work at the station, coordinating efforts with news producers, assignment desk and crews; as well as in the field when required for red carpet events and press opportunities. Applicants must possess strong writing and copy-editing skills; excellent computer skills, including knowledge of keyboard shortcuts; experience working with social networks such as Facebook and Twitter as well as Movable Type blogs; solid knowledge of basic HTML tags; comfort working with Adobe Photoshop and Final Cut Pro. Key responsibilities include blogging about a wide variety of entertainment and pop culture events as they occur; timely posting of breaking entertainment news; site troubleshooting and overall maintenance of our high editorial standards.
