The VP of Enterprise Solutions will work with the Global IT Operations leadership team to develop and maintain our Global IT Strategic Plan. Educate and influence internal partners on best-practice approaches to building a robust, resilient, scalable and highly virtualized and secure infrastructure. Develop and present solutions and build relationships at the senior level across key business units and groups. Must be able to explain complex technical and analytical concepts using laymen's terms while articulating their value. This position is a new and hands-on engineering leadership position responsible for operations and delivery of the A E Infrastructure, Architecture, Networking, DR and Cloud offerings. The role will enable, support, and collaborate with software engineering, DevOps, Client Services, and across other A E Business Units to create an operational platform for existing and new services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a global technical team with skills in advanced server and networking technologies, high density of virtualization, storage, 24x7 services and operations management, networking, and cloud services to include SAAS integration, IAAS, and PAAS, as well as other cutting-edge enterprise solutions.
Lead cross-functional teams to coordinate implementations and roll-outs across the globe and launch on schedule. Develop an efficient, predictable, and repeatable process for establishing operations in new countries. Partner with regional teams in all phases of planning and execution of Enterprise initiatives. This position is responsible for working across all infrastructure foundations (design, build, implement, support, maintain, scale, and evolve) to comprehend and recommend improvements and enhancements to existing and all future implementations. This person will set the direction for all current and future projects and processes for enterprise, cloud, and networking around the globe.
Responsible for the planning, evaluation, implementation, compliance, and service delivery of IT infrastructure initiatives. Work with business unit executives and IT functional area management to define infrastructure support initiatives and solutions for improving service efficiency and effectiveness. The infrastructure includes platform architecture, computer systems, data centers, core utilities, storage, backup/recovery, cloud strategy development and implementation, and disaster recovery planning and testing.
Design, Build, and Evolve a Global Technology Infrastructure:
• Oversee all design and build activities within Global Enterprise Solution, Cloud Solutions, and Networking.
• Analyze business and technical requirements to determine system designs, potential risks and issues, and related costs for each project request, all based on best practices.
• Using in-depth knowledge of Cloud and Virtualization technologies, implement a solution that is global, scalable, resilient, and redundant based on optimal and critical value to the business.
• Maintain expertise in the area of infrastructure design and architecture, strategies, and products to ensure that a multi-year investment strategy is in place to support future business needs and global operations.
• Participate in IT strategy planning activities, bringing a current knowledge and future vision of infrastructure technology and systems and best practices related to the needs of the business.
• Responsible for the IT service delivery to include Cloud (public, hybrid, private), on premise infrastructure, commoditized services, network solutions, storage, backup/recovery/archiving, disaster recovery and other technology platforms and shared services across the enterprise, in both an on-premise and hosted model as appropriate.
• Develop and implement strategic direction and short and long range enterprise IT infrastructure goals and objectives.
Collaborate with IT business partners & customers:
• Establish positive, long-term relationships with customers and peers, as well as demonstrate a high level of consultative behavior and application of in-depth technical knowledge when dealing with customers.
• Align architectural strategy with business objectives and global expansion initiatives with the vision of IT and the needs of the business.
• Work with business community to prevent or solve difficult performance and/or infrastructure problems.
• Interact with technical leaders to develop innovative solutions that meet company and market needs with respect to availability, functionality, performance, reliability, repeatability, scalability, and speed to market.
• Provide leadership in business or process planning and guidance to customers and other stakeholders during the solution identification process.
• In partnership with various organizations across the enterprise, analyze, drive, manage and measure activities within the enterprise.
• Ability to strategically analyze the risks, benefits, and opportunities associated with a solution.
• Plan and manage the execution of implementation projects, including day-to-day project management, issues and risk management, scope management, and regular status reporting.
Leadership and Mentoring to direct reports and IT staff:
• Demonstrate Technical, Infrastructure and Architectural knowledge, playing a vital role in the design of production, staging, QA and development infrastructures running in 24x7 environments.
• Must be well versed in and have experience with ITIL, infrastructure and security design, standards, IT policies and procedures, and technology best practices for the enterprise.
• Ability to work well within a team environment and independently multi-task multiple projects and simultaneously work in a fast-paced, yet customer-centric environment, as well as, roll up your sleeves to jump in and take ownership.
• Direct and coordinate assignments, special projects and programs to deputy directors and managers in Global Enterprise Solutions.
• Analyze and predict trends, and develops long range plan designed to maintain cost effectiveness and competitiveness of the enterprise's IT infrastructure.
• Establishes metrics, key performance indicators and service level agreements for driving the performance of IT service delivery.
• Manage organizational change, consolidation challenges, redefining job functions and classifications, and ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels.
Qualification Requirements
Previous experience in a senior mgmt. or executive leadership role with an emphasis on consulting/integration is a must.
Well-developed understanding of how overall organizational and business unit structure, customer long-term focus and industry trends interrelate and drive the business.
Ability to make decisions and solve problems or courses of action through policy or consultation with others.
Previous experience designing and delivering a robust and redundant enterprise/security infrastructure and cloud solutions.
Minimum of 15 years work experience with several years in a business/technology consulting role as well as experience in managing cross-functional, highly skilled technology architects and engineers, and successful implementations of complex, data intensive IT systems.
7-10 years of IT infrastructure service delivery experience.
