A E Networks, a global entertainment media company with six original brands (A&E®, HISTORY®, Lifetime®, LMN®, FYITM and VICELANDSM), is looking for a Senior Manager / Director (depending on experience), Social Analytics to provide insight into A E Networks' social media presence (110 million fans and followers) and audience profile, as well as social industry trends.
The Sr. Manager / Director, Social Analytics will have a high visibility role in the organization, partnering hand-in-hand with A E Networks' social media producers, production managers, and marketers to guide strategy, provide feedback on performance, and enhance the company's presence across social platforms. The role provides a unique opportunity to work across brands and across social networks, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, Vine, and others.
The Sr. Manager / Director should have a deep understanding and point-of-view on all aspects of the social data ecosystem, including native reporting platforms, 3rd party tools and aggregators, social listening platforms, audience and targeting platforms, and on-site behaviors. This role will work to better utilize and organize A E Networks' social digital data, provide insights and analyses, and create best practices for data alignment & optimization across social content as well as social media plans. The role will also monitor industry trends, and bring innovative perspectives to support the division's thought-leadership initiatives.
Qualification Requirements
• Must be passionate about a quickly-evolving digital and social media environment
• 5-7 years of digital media research experience, preferably at a digital research vender or publisher
• Expert understanding of social platforms, including the nuances of video and creative performance
• Experience in independently creating social media monitoring reports including sentiment analysis, volume trends, and influencer analysis to deliver social media insights that can help positively change content and engagement strategies
• Experience and expert knowledge of social measurement platforms including but not limited to Nielsen Social Guide, Sprout, Listen First, Adobe Omniture, Sprinklr, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, YouTube Analytics, Tubular, Shareablee
• Ability to spearhead a project, troubleshoot, and thoroughly manage it through to completion
Educational Requirements B.A. in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics or Economics Other Skills and Knowledge • Analytical mindset with advanced-level skills with MS Excel
• Ability to convey ideas and solutions both verbally and visually
• Self-starter and ability to work independently and as a team player
