Work closely with Senior Director, Paid Media to recommend and implement cross platform media strategies and campaigns for the History brand. The Sr. Manager, Paid Media will be responsible for working closely with external media agencies to develop and execute all paid campaign elements including media, emerging platforms and search.
• Assist Senior Director of Consumer Marketing in recommending how to prioritize shows & campaigns across the brand, and how best to support each of those priorities. Work with internal research and marketing analytics team to gather and organize past performance and insights, construct goals and objectives, and develop target definitions. Pull together support documents to outline thinking clearly to key internal stakeholders
• Work closely with outside media agencies as well as internal creative teams to develop and execute paid marketing plans. This includes briefing agencies, evaluating plans for strategic and tactical alignment, providing clear and constructive feedback, and managing creative timelines. This also includes working closely with creative teams to maximize use of existing assets and identify additional needs based on campaign tactics.
• Work as in-house media strategy expert for all channels including emerging and digital media. Stay up to date on media landscape and constantly seek out innovative partners/platforms to identify new opportunities. Ensure that we execute in these spaces based on audience, show content, talent, etc.
• Develop internal communication materials, including excel charts, one-sheets and PowerPoint presentations, to effectively and succinctly communicate details of media support & performance to key stakeholders (senior leadership, producers, talent, etc.). Manage coordinator and oversee development and maintenance of organizational documents including long-lead timelines, priority trackers, etc.
• Analyze and evaluate campaign performance on an ongoing basis. Work with agencies and internal research teams to monitor performance in real time and recommend/implement optimizations to maximize efficiencies and effectiveness. Collaborate on post campaign analyses to identify and disseminate key learnings and recommended application of said learnings on future campaigns.
• Manage media budget ensuring that all spend across the brand is properly accounted for & properly explained to finance team
Qualification Requirements
• 4 years in media agency.
• Strong understanding of media marketplace and solid knowledge base around innovative targeting and data opportunities.
• Fluent in excel and power point.
• Position must be able to juggle significant workload with multiple projects in play simultaneously.
• Must be able to integrate strategic direction with other areas of department and other areas within the organization.
• Must be able to receive direction & plan action steps independently.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills a must.
