The Senior Director, Distribution and Multiplatform Analytics, will utilize multiplatform data and business modeling to develop data-driven strategies across all A E departments, both from a viewership and monetization stand point.
Provide senior research management with insights, recommendations and forward-looking analyses relating to distribution and multiplatform issues, and trends.
The Senior Director will work with internal stakeholders to understand each platform, its consumption patterns, as well as, projecting future consumption patterns. In addition to internal data, the projections will incorporate analyst reports and third party data to incorporate industry trends.
Develop and produce data driven revenue models for A E Networks' emerging video platforms
Own relationship with 3rd Party data aggregator (currently MediaMorph). Work with this company to add new data streams as they become available and improve portal functionality. Work with the VP, Distribution Research & Advanced Measurement Solutions to create dynamic reports and dashboards for easy use by internal clients.
Create an overall strategic map of the Multiplatform marketplace. Determine the successes and failures for A E Networks as compared to our competition and make recommendations on improvement. Provide regular quarterly updates to Senior Management using measurable and relevant business metrics.
The Senior Director will work with third party analytics groups (MSI and Altice) to develop projects in order to answer pressing business questions (i.e. pre-linear premieres, unduplicated audience).
The Senior Director will develop and conduct internal trainings around multiplatform analytics performance for our network brands and programs across the Research and Analytics team as well as key senior members of the company.
Qualification Requirements An understanding of TV, VOD, online and other audience measurement systems (including basic statistics). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
7 years of media or related data analysis experience
Effective leadership qualities. Ability to connect with other people, explain complicated issues clearly and communicate concerns efficiently.
Experience with Nielsen, comScore, Rentrak and knowledge about how each develops its data set. Expertise with Microsoft Excel.
Experience in linear and multiplatform distribution and the data associated with each.
Educational Requirements College Graduate
