Strategic lead for A E Networks Corporate Development Division. Partner with senior leadership to define strategic vision, identify opportunities for growth, and layout a path for successful execution of long term strategy.
Enable A E Networks to achieve Corporate Development business goals by developing long-term strategic vision in conjunction with senior leadership. Identify and evaluate opportunities for revenue growth by (a) researching Corporate Development trends, (b) surveying competitive landscape, (c) building financial models and conducting rigorous analysis (IRR, ROI, sensitivity, etc.), (d) conducting due diligence, (e) articulating vision to key internal stakeholders, (f) building path to operational execution of stated goals. Empower A E Corporate Development to capitalize on trends in the Corporate Development environment by monitoring key business metrics (consumer data, advertising data, ecommerce data). Encourage organization to take calculated risks and allocated resources to ensure that A E Corporate Development is positioned to succeed amidst the rapidly evolving Corporate Development landscape. Develop Corporate Development products and services that both achieve audience scale and are monetized efficiently.
Oversee Corporate Development Measurement (Analytics) strategy and execution for A E. Create overall Corporate Development measurement strategy & define key requirements for implementation of all tracking tools across all A E asset classes. Manage the creation of reports that empower key stakeholders to make informed investment decisions about A E Corporate Development media efforts. Mine analytics data to identify trends. Deliver recommendations and actionable insights based on consumer experience with A E Corporate Development assets. Forecast traffic & inventory levels for A E Corporate Development assets and for specific ad sales packages to ensure proper monetization of content. Develop measurement solutions for emerging platforms including video, mobile, gaming, and social media. Oversee Business Development efforts across all Corporate Development media platforms. Identify, evaluate, and execute Corporate Development distribution partnerships, licensing deals, audience extension opportunities and other sources of incremental revenue. Manage relationships with existing 3rd party partners, while negotiating key business terms for new deals and renewals.
Lead Corporate Development operation for A E. Scale the quantity and quality of traffic to A E Corporate Development by strategically allocating resources across an array of Corporate Development audience development vehicles. Leverage online audience to achieve broader A E objectives including the growth of Corporate Development revenue, ecommerce revenue and ratings to the linear television networks. Oversee the Corporate Development budget, pursuing opportunities that achieve the highest possible returns.
Oversee paid Search Engine Marketing (SEM), organic Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Display Advertising, and Affiliate Linking strategy and execution. Focus on audience development for core sites, while supporting brand marketing departments, international Corporate Development media, and ad sales marketing on tune-in campaigns. Define campaign objectives and drive optimization across 500 ad groups and 1 million keywords. Support Corporate Development by maximizing ad inventory available to A E sites and minimizing cost per click and cost per desired action (registrations, sweepstakes entries, video views, page viewss, purchase of virtual goods, downloads, etc). Review and approve ad creative, segmentation strategy and bid management. Expand beyond traditional search engines (Google, Yahoo, Bing) to emerging keyword targeted display and rich media platforms including Facebook, the Google Display Network, Outbrain and Stumbleupon. Oversee organic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategy and execution. Grow traffic to A E web properties by increasing the visibility of A E assets on major search engines (Google, Yahoo!, Bing, Ask, Hulu, etc). Train A E producers, designers, developers, project managers, product developers, and marketers on best practices in the SEO space. Partner with agencies on inbound link building efforts. Utilize gap analysis to identify high impact opportunities, and ensure that all existing and new assets are ''SEO-d'' prior to launch. Lead link-building efforts in which domains with high Google PR are encouraged to link back to A E sites
Oversee Email Marketing strategy and execution. Grow A E email marketing database with focus on visitor acquisition. Drive incremental traffic to A E sites through promotion of site content in daily, weekly and monthly email newsletters. Scale ad sales revenue through email sponsorship and ad placement opportunities. Promote shop product and lift revenue to commerce sites via email cross promo. Drive tune-in to linear networks with email blasts prior to marquee on-air stunts. Support A E B2B efforts by deploying and monitoring email campaigns for Distribution and Ad Sales departments. Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM and email marketing best practices. Test alternative email marketing strategies, measure performance, and optimize accordingly. Manage A E relationship with EMS vendors (Exact Target)
A E lead contact with External Agencies & Vendors (Morpheus Paid Search, Morpheus Organic Search, Adobe Omniture, Hitwise, Google, Exact Target, etc.). Negotiate contracts and project manage operations between organizations.
Serve as Internal Consultant to A E departments on Corporate Development measurement and Corporate Development initiatives, servicing: International Corporate Development, Ad Sales, Ad Sales Marketing, Programming, Scheduling, Brand Marketing, Affiliate Distribution, Research, Consumer Products, Legal, HR, Executive Management
Qualification Requirements
• Advanced mathematical & problem solving skills.
• Financial modeling & forecasting experience.
• Search engine optimization expert with comprehensive understanding of the Google Algorithm.
• SEM / Display advertising expert with knowledge real time bidding (RTB) in online action / open ad exchange environment.
• Software expertise: Adobe Omniture, Google Analytics, Quantcast, Nielsen, Comscore, Google Adwords, Google Ad Planner, Google Keyword Insights, Hitwise, Compete, Dart, Adtech, Akamai, etc with thorough knowledge of data collection for each. Advanced MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.

• 5 Years Experience Leading and Managing Teams
• 3 Years Mobile, Social, Gaming, and Video
• Exceptional communication skills are required to convey complex Corporate Development concepts through presentations, meetings and 1:1 discussions… and to persuade / motivate team members to rally behind strategic vision
