POSITON SUMMARY:
The SAP Development Manager will work within the A E's Technology department to manage the technical design, implementation, and support of SAP systems & solutions to support A E's business worldwide. The manager will work closely with business functional counterparts in both IT and Finance and become the Subject Matter Expert on ECC development, BPC development, BW development, security, system interfacing, and infrastructure.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Technical Management:
The Manager will set and implement development and technical documentation standards, liaise with A E's hosting partner and A E's internal infrastructure teams, create and maintain standard operating procedures, oversee development work, support infrastructure work, provide technical recommendations.
Owning the Solution:
The Manager will be part of the core SAP team, teaming with internal and external resources to gain and maintain a thorough understanding of A E's business processes and subsequently formulate the overall technical design and the deployment strategy of SAP.
Support, upgrades and Disaster Recovery:
The Manager will ensure a proper system landscape based on the input from basis and infrastructure managers. The manager will keep the landscape up to date with OSS notes, system upgrades, support packs, and enhancement packs. He/She will plan for 1 disaster recovery rehearsal per year.
Security:
The Manager will ensure a secured implementation based on the input from basis and security resources. The manager will work with PMO and OCM to have SAP security roles, profiles and teams documented. The manager will work with PMO to set up the security support mechanism for the onboarding, offboarding etc.
Required Experience:
REQUIREMENTS:
•5 years of hands-on experience in managing SAP Development in conjunction with an implementer; collaborating with functional consultants and managing line level development resources.
•10 years of progressive experience in ABAP computer programming, including cross-platform interface development and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) programming.
•At least 1 year of reviewing specifications and code
•Supported or implemented SAP in at least one company that operates in more than one continent.
•Extensive experience with development of SAP systems in several or all of the following areas:
- Netweaver ECC 6.0:
- -Object Oriented ABAP
- -Remote Function Calls
- -BAPI (Business Application Programming Interface)
- -LSMW
- -Smartforms
Netweaver BPC 10:
- -Templates
- -Models
- -Workflow
- -BW integration
- Netweaver BW 7.0:
- -Data providers
- -Extractors
- -Process chains
- ECC and/or BPC security:
- -Role design
- -User maintenance
•Coordinate landscape design, system upgrades, support packs, enhancement packs, and disaster recovery with an outsourced Basis team
•Programming knowledge in any of the following are a plus: SQL, COBOL, JavaScript, Python, Perl
•Ability to adapt SAP development management to overall IT governance development model. In-depth knowledge of the systems development life cycle and project life cycle.

•Considerable experience in managing and administering projects of varying size and complexity.
•Strong organizational, multitasking and prioritization skills
• CSM certification a plus
• ITIL certification a plus
•MS Project server knowledge a plus
Required Education:
•BA/BS in Business Management, MIS, or related field. Master's Degree in Business management, MIS or related field is desired
