We currently have an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, proactive and motivated individual to serve as a Programing Coordinator for the History Channel. Located in the Los Angeles office, this temporary position would be responsible for supporting two very busy executives in the History Channel Programming Department. Specifically, this position would:
•Manage a heavy volume of incoming phone calls
•Maintain the Executives' daily schedule and call log; publish weekly status reports as well as maintain a submissions log used to track projects and their status
•Schedule pitch meetings, notes meetings, and general creative meetings, as well as manage all logistics for the meeting
•Manage the flow of incoming and outgoing material from the network
•Assist with identifying new writers and directors, as well as help identify and track down possible projects for the scripted team
•Coordinate travel arrangements and other administrative duties such as, processing travel and expense reports, filing, ordering supplies, photocopying, and organizing the Executives' office
Required Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a 4-year college degree and a minimum of 1 years in a similar role; previous experience in entertainment such as at an agency, production company or studio is a plus. The successful candidate must be a team-player who successfully operates in a team-oriented setting that can demonstrate strong communication skills, judgment, and organizational and people skills. They must have the ability to be discreet and maintain confidential information. Strong writing skills and ability to multi-task is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook is required in order to generate Excel charts and Power Point presentations
