The Post Production Technician will coordinate and execute the technical operations for all production and presentation needs within the company's internal corporate production space. In addition, this position will be responsible for:
• Successfully executing workflows surrounding all of the facets of production required in that event space, such as but not limited to: screenings, corporate presentations, musical performances, and large Town Halls with multiple playbacks and presentations.
• Ownership of the technical delivery and workflow for our Campus Digital Signage. Including encoding / transcoding and preparation of assets needed for our campus Digital Signage system, and maintenance and training for all software and hardware upgrades.
• Working with production management, gather and prepare media content for all studio productions, as well as all remote events such as: conferences, retreats, trade shows, meetings, etc.
• Planning and assisting with technical operations for internal production events; lighting, shooting, and managing.
• Coordinating and managing the Post Production aspects of studio productions, including preparation for studio shoots, as well as all media sharing and distribution of content created in the studio.
• Coordinating with our studio Engineer in Charge (EIC) on all assigned, and/or relative studio projects and daily assignments.
• Working directly with the Director, Technical Operations of Production, being a ''right hand person'' and provide overall technical assistance to the studio, remote and post production needs.
• Self-manage projects and technical testing assigned by the Director, Technical Operations, Technical Supervisor, or EIC.
Qualification Requirements The successful candidate will have the ability to perform technical operations in a live production environment, as well as having the knowledge to assist in all facets of a modern, file based, post production facility.
• Candidate must have experience in operating studio production equipment such as, but not limited to: production switchers with multiple M/E buses, production audio mixers, and robotic cameras.
• Extensive knowledge of full ENG, as well as DSLR camera kits, and all standard 3 point ENG lighting kits.
• The successful candidate must also have extensive knowledge of all file based media and specifications; including an understanding of all codecs, file wrappers and bit rates.
• Must have advanced knowledge of Post production NLEs, specifically Avid Media Composer and Adobe Premiere.
• Experience with encoding and transcoding software solutions a plus.
• Must have ''half an engineers' brain'', and the ability to communicate with studio and post production engineers.
• Minimum 5 years relative industry and facility experience, based on the above studio and post production requirements.
