Full Time Job
As a member of the Consumer Marketing team, the Marketing Specialist will report into the Senior Manager and will assist in the development and communication of strategy with the objective to deliver on brand goals. The Marketing Specialist will be primarily responsible for the development and execution of consumer advertising and promotion plans to drive brand image, awareness and tune-in for History.
Responsibilities
• Act as liaison to other internal departments such as creative, social media, programming, scheduling, digital, PR, legal, research, mobile, distribution, and ad sales to disseminate key information and allow for best possible collaboration between groups
• Assist in the preparation of creative briefs to ensure that all communications are in support of brand objectives
• Manage multiple external agencies in the development of creative advertising, media planning and high-impact promotions (e.g. search marketing promotions, media plan partnerships/executions, etc.)
• Manage the execution of media plans/promotions including timeline development, communication of responsibilities and deadlines, quality control & adherence to strategy, delivery of creative assets and approval processes
• Translate data and performance analytics into actionable insights to inform future projects
• Help gather competitive intelligence and seek out new media innovations and opportunities
Qualification Requirements Requirements
• College degree in marketing, communications or related field
• 2-4 years of marketing/media/promotions experience
• Fluent in MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel
• Strong writing skills and the ability to communicate ideas in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of personnel
• Thorough understanding of marketing elements and a strong grasp of the digital marketplace and new technology platforms
• Must possess both a strong collaborative spirit and the ability to be proactive and work independently
• Ability to work well under pressure and time constraints; must be comfortable working with tight deadlines and last minute changes
• Strong attention to detail when managing multiple projects
• Passion for media and marketing
• Passion for entertainment and popular culture
• Understanding of the entertainment landscape and evolution of viewer consumption habits
