Position Summary
Develop and implement on-air media planning strategies that support network. Utilize all Lifetime Television Networks inventory to build comprehensive on-air media plans and promotional roll-outs that drive ratings and enforce brand.
Position Responsibilities
• Account for accuracy and overall implementation of on-air strategy
• Manage Lifetime's airtime to provide clear messaging of promotional priorities to our audience, ''navigate'' viewers through the schedule to increase time spent viewing, and drive ratings for new episodes, stunts, events and show launches.
• Utilize reach and frequency, GRPs and duplication research to create efficient and effective on-air media plans
• Continue to find new ways to utilize our inventory
• Recommend revision of plans as needed to maintain optimal competitiveness.
• Work closely with promo research team to gather on-air insights for all priority initiatives. Including: campaign post-mortem analysis, in-flight updates, promo conversion, and viewership analysis
• Serve as the Lifetime in-house ''media planning expert''. Must be efficient in understanding all campaign KPI including: reach, frequncy, impressions, and GRPs
• Partner with on-air creative team in the development of promotional materials that support programming initiatives
• Create ''clocks'' that communicate how on-air inventory is being utilized.
• Key contact and liaison with; Brand Creative, and Research
• Maintain quarterly media roll-outs (GRIP IT) based on available inventory
• Create and maintain competitive analysis.
• Assist Senior Director on-air promotions in other areas as needed, including working on projects for sister networks A&E History
Qualification Requirements
• Minimum 5 years experience planning and executing on-air promotional logs for broadcast or cable.
• Ability to manage a team of individuals responsible for scheduling multiple networks.
• Organized with a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong experience with Excel & powerpoint
• Knowledge of Gabriel, wide orbit, and Gripit a PLUS. Ability to learn new software programs essential
• Must be available to contact after hours
