Legal Assistant - Legal & Business Affairs (Project)
Position Description:
Provide assistance to primary attorneys by managing day-to-day administrative responsibilities, as follows:
• Manage and organize paper flow of attorneys.
• Create and maintain organized files (paper and electronic); handle correspondence, including prioritization of mail and screening and logging telephone calls.
• Handle administrative responsibilities with respect to distribution of agreements, amendments, etc. and the payment process relating to such agreements and amendments.
• Create and revise documents; basic drafting of documents and responses to letters under supervision of attorney.
• Serve, from time to time, as liaison for attorney with clients in other departments and respond to inquiries from outside the company.
• Manage attorneys' schedule, calendar management, and travel arrangements.
• Process expense reports.
• Handle departmental administrative duties as assigned and other tasks as requested.
• Assist attorneys with research via the Internet or other means; report research findings to attorneys.
• Updating status reports and charts to keep projects organized for attorneys
Qualification Requirements Minimum of one year administrative experience required, legal administrative experience preferred. Strong word processing skills required for creating and revising legal contracts. Strong writing and communication skills, proofreading as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office are required. Familiarity with the following software a plus: Edocs, Aspen 360, Concur, PPL. Maturity and good judgment (will be dealing with confidential documents). Will be interacting with senior level employees. Should also be very internet savvy. Candidate must be a team player who is organized, detail-oriented, and demonstrates initiative Other Skills and Knowledge Please note project assignment associates are engaged to provide service to A E Networks on a temporary basis in connection with a specific project. Project assignment associates are hired and employed through a third party vendor with a duration/tenure of no longer than twelve (12) months.
