We currently have an exciting opportunity for a self-starting, detail-oriented, proactive and responsible individual to serve as Human Resources Coordinator. Located in the Los Angeles office, this position would be responsible for supporting the Human Resources Director. Specifically, this position would:
• Assist with on-boarding all staff and third party hires by coordinating new hire set with IT and Facilities.
• Manage the recruiting process for all non-exempt level positions.
• Assist with various recruiting activities such as posting all LA job openings, managing the ATS recruiting database, requesting background checks and completing reference checks.
• Manage the A E Summer Internship Program in the LA office; including recruiting, on-boarding and day-to-day activities.
• Coordinate 3rd party temp and IC requests with hiring managers and finance; send notification requests for approval and track and maintain start, end and renewal dates.
• Liaise with the NY HR team to coordinate and schedule meetings/video conferences and other HR initiatives within the LA office.
• Plan and coordinate a variety of LA HR initiatives such as social events, employee screenings, training and development, Take Your Child to Work Day and the Summer Intern Program.
• Communicate and provide information to employees and managers regarding HR programs, policies, benefits and training.
• Maintain personnel files and various HR documents ensuring compliance.
Qualification Requirements The ideal candidate will have 1 year of administrative experience, preferably in HR. The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Must be flexible, have strong organization and follow-up skills.
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and must be mature enough to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Highly organized team player with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Must have the ability to be discrete and maintain confidential information as well as the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong computer skills in Excel and Powerpoint is a must. Educational Requirements 4 year college degree in HR, Communications or Business preferred.
