Full Time Job
Dynamic position for a Senior Director/Director of Digital Ad Product Development who will primarily focus on a hands-on approach to leading a team of internal and external resources onboarding and maintaining Partnership and Platform expansions for Ad monetization related to the TV Everywhere initiative. This currently includes desktop, mobile web, mobile applications, CTV/OTT, and STB VOD DAI initiatives. Additionally this position envisions and brings to life innovative and engaging display and video advertising products and experiences across all A E Networks brands on all platforms including social media points and points of distribution.
Specifically this position will focus on four key areas of Digital Ad Product Development…
• Manage internal ad product development that provide technical and operational capability to fully monetize A E Networks Digital assets through implementation of ad serving technologies for video and display across the spectrum of Digital Media Division's desktop, mobile web, mobile applications, STB/VOD and OTT platforms. Coordination across Digital Divisions Project Management Teams including Mobile Development, Product Development, IT and Site Development Teams
• Manage external ad product development implementation that provides the technical and operational capability to fully monetize A E Networks Digital assets through ad serving technologies for video across the spectrum of Digital Distribution Partnerships. Partnerships include MSO Cable, Satellite and Telco organizations. Coordination across Partner Technical support teams.
• Facilitate and coordinate product release and upgrade cycles to assure system updates are implemented across the advertising technical stack from ad servers and second channel partners. Prioritize A E Networks ad product development requirements with ad serving providers. Close communication with Freewheel, Google, Tremor, Liverail and other ad tech partners to assure our desktop, mobile web and mobile aps are utilizing the latest release products. Coordination of updates based on various release cycles with various Digital IT product development resources.
• Identify and Evaluate new and opportunistic ad products that will bring in incremental advertising and sponsorship revenue based on evolving market needs for both direct and indirect sales channels in cooperation with Pricing and Planning Team. Proactively lead evaluation of rich media and video ad products vendor solution providers gaining traction in the market. Maintain connection with external industry organizations (ie: IAB/OPA) to assure organization maintains standards and practices. Identify issues with existing campaigns and assess risk's associated with new product options. Test sales strategy scenario's and run revenue models against various options.
Qualification Requirements • Minimum of 7-10 years of product management experience with desktop, mobile application, CTV/OTT and STB VOD advertising products at a media company, ad technology vendor, digital agency, portal or advertising network.
• Solid business background (MBA a plus), comfort with business planning and analytics, and a solid, intuitive feel for marketing and sales strategy.
• Deep understanding of the advertising technology landscape, and experience interacting with many of the leading players across the video and mobile including DFP, Freewheel, and SSP's.
• Experience interacting directly with internal and external Digital Product Development teams, advertising clients, sales and marketing teams, and playing a hands-on role in helping to close business.
• Experience generating strategic partnerships with ad technology and media partners.
• Superior project management skills. Ability to juggle multiple initiatives and keep team members on track, on time and on budget.
• Not afraid to get your hands dirty and do whatever is necessary to get the job done.
• Excellent communication and relationship skills with all levels of leadership and staff; outstanding presentation & speaking skills.
• Superb attention to detail and organizational abilities, ability to troubleshoot and provide guidance and solutions for complex business challenges.
• Strong desire to work in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment with a lean support staff.
Required Education:
Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Engineering, IT or Technology
