Coordinator, International Digital Media (temporary)
Position Summary:
The Coordinator, International Digital Media is responsible for supporting and growing A E's digital distribution activities internationally by licensing programming to new and existing video-on-demand, over-the-top and mobile services outside the US. Working with the Digital Media Manager, the role will help increase revenues through key account management, sales support and market research. The Coordinator will also help manage the distribution and creation of short form video and assist in formulating strategies to maximize A E's revenues from the digital licensing of our programming abroad.
Responsibilities:
Digital Distribution Support:
Work with the Digital Media Manager to help grow A E International's digital distribution revenue by licensing our programming to new and existing video-on-demand, over-the-top, mobile and other services outside the US.
• Curate lists of programming to send to clients at the start of licensing negotiations; pull lists of available content from the international database for new digital deals; create digital programming screeners for clients
• Create sales decks and compile ratings information to send to client along with lists of available programming
• Check programming rights by liaising with Rights & Clearances and Programming teams
• Coordinate language track buy backs as necessary
• Identify and track new video-on-demand services launching globally
Support and help grow existing digital client relationships by serving as point person regarding materials, marketing, image requests, troubleshooting etc.
• Work with partners to track how content is performing on their platforms and modify content selections as necessary.
• Help track license dates and selection periods for large existing clients in order to enable timely content selection and delivery
Manage incoming media footage requests by checking rights and coordinating delivery through Media Archive Team.
Over time, take over management of smaller client accounts
Short Form Video Creation & Management:
Think strategically about the exploitation of short form internationally; vet potential short form syndicators and other strategic partners/licensors
Serve as liaison for short form and promotional clip requests from our International channels and from third parties.
• Handle short form rights checks and clip delivery
• Coordinate with domestic digital team on short form production schedules and moving assets between domestic and international video repositories
• Become proficient in using ThePlatform video management system
Work with Director of Digital Media on original short form production around key programming initiatives
Ad Hoc Projects:
Maintain and help write research presentations on digital distribution trends and strategies; read and disseminate news, market info & 3rd party topical research
Assist with new initiatives as required
Required Experience:
Requirements:
• BA from top-tier University
• Prior work or internship experience in digital or traditional media
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Detail oriented
• Diligent, hardworking
• Excellent written & oral communication skills
• Team player
• Self-starter, motivated
• Excited to learn about international TV/digital distribution
• Experience at TV network, studio/prod company or video-on-demand service/digital video company desired
• Experience working in an international environment and/or living outside the US desired
