Coordinator, Acquisitions Lifetime (Non-Staff)
Responsible for assisting the Vice President and Directors of Acquisitions in the timely tracking and upkeep of all submissions and co-production information for both Lifetime and LMN.
Acquisitions/ Co-Productions – Having a clear understanding of acquisitions needs for Lifetime and LMN.
• Manage screener submissions Log (log all movie submissions; maintaining screening assignments, notes, and updates)
• Review projects submitted to LMN for possible acquisition and assessing their relevance to our program strategy, deciding whether or not we are interested in acquiring
• Read loglines, treatments and scripts for input to VP and Directors on potential co-productions for LMN.
• Institute and maintain acquisitions availabilities lists for both series and movies.
• Communicate with producers to obtain delivery dates of scripts, production, rough cuts and final delivery of co-productions in order to coordinate with scheduling.
• Upload cuts onto Box account for department viewing.
• Coordinate Asset delivery for LMN acquisitions (reaching out to supplier for and distributing internally approved stills for all premieres, reaching out to supplier for approved loglines, tracking Master delivery with Stamford, coordinating screeners with Promo team and PR)
• Liaise with producers/distributors on deliverables for payments (E&O, music cue sheets, etc., tracking and approving invoices and payments)
• Complete ad hoc analyses and projects for VP of Acquisitions.PACs/Legal Updates
• Create PACs for acquisitions and co-productions for LMN. This involves writing a description for each PAC, entering rights information and creating benefits.
• Contract tracking and Pre-Buy checklists for LMN acquisitionsAdministrative
• Maintaining series rights bible and scheduling grid/ ratings binders.
• Make copies of cuts to distribute to other departments (ex. PR, Digital, etc.)
• Create department files including Project binders (scripts, cast/crew lists, contracts)
• Answer phones and maintaining calendar for VP of Acquisitions.
• Generate expense reports for VP of Acquisitions in a timely manner. Qualification Requirements Experience
• College degree
• 1 year of experience in related field
• Interest in movies and television
