Part Time Unpaid Internship
6/8 Records is looking for a marketing-savvy intern to join the team for the fall term, We are based in NYC, and looking for someone in the area that can intern 2-3 days a week, learn about marketing tools and tactics, and help further the growth of 6/8 Records and their artists.
Intern will work closely with management, spending the first two weeks learning the basics of 6/8 Records' business model, daily tasks, current and future projects, and will be trained on how to use programs that are necessary for keeping up-to-date with 6/8 Records and artist happenings. Interns will come up with an outcome that they would like to happen for the end of the internship term, and work with management on steps that will need to be taken in order for that outcome to be successfully executed. Intern will check in daily with management and marketing team on their tasks, and will be supervised over tasks-at-hand.
Interns will learn how to develop content for both a record label and one artist for social media and marketing tactics. Interns will also learn how to multi-task with social media tools, learn how to pitch for blog submissions, and will learn how to work with different departments on creating a successful marketing campaign.
Interns must be in the arts management and/or music performance program(s). Interns must also show experience managing or marketing a music-based project, and are required to have knowledge of Google Drive, Microsoft Office products, and knowledge of how to use social media sites.
Intern must also have experience working on social media campaigns, and have basic knowledge of Hootsuite or Buffer.
Intern must be enthusiastic, yearning to learn, and confident to bring new ideas forward to the company. Although this is a learning-based internship, all ideas are welcome!
