Job Description:
411 Music Group is currently seeking an Account Executive in our Los Angeles office who specializes in sales for catalog (production) music, artists and custom music/composing. The company is seeking someone who can further grow the business and continue to expand and excel in an ever-changing marketplace.
Job Overview:
The Account Executive maximizes revenue development for Music Sync Licensing in TV, Film and Interactive Media.
Start Date: September 1, 2014
Requirements:
-Minimum 5 years of successful sales experience in the music-licensing sector
- Relationships in music publishing and licensing with music supervisors, producers, editors, studios, networks and web/online driven markets
-Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
-A ''go-getter'' attitude with superior work ethic and the desire to put in extra effort to land accounts while maintaining a positive attitude
-Strong knowledge of music, current trends, business models and the ability to interpret and understand client requests and convey musical terms to composers in order to deliver the proper mood/song/cue
-Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Mac Computers, Internet Applications, and accounting programs
-Organizational and detail oriented skills with extreme attention to detail
-Knowledge of the current marketplace, including pricing structures, terms, competitors, various business models and have the ability to adapt and grow as the industry changes
-Get to work on time without restriction on time commitment
-Reading comprehension of legal contracts and the ability to edit as needed is a plus
-Demonstrate the ability to be innovative and think outside the box strategically and analytically and take the initiative while maintaining a team player mentality
-Experience with branding and marketing is a plus
Responsibilities:
-Maximize growth in revenue by bringing in, negotiating and closing new accounts
-Participate in industry trade events, conferences and panels as needed to grow company's sales and maintain existing relationships
-Utilize strategic selling skills to properly assess a client's needs and follow up on leads and deliveries to confirm each contractual obligation/condition has been fulfilled
-Understand client needs, musical direction and deliver music on a daily basis to new clients, fulfill search requests and translate to composers what is needed for a new search or custom composition
-Maintain and Organize contracts, files, artwork, etc. in folders on the company server as needed
-Answer phones and take in new clients and requests
-Track and meet client and composer deadlines
-Organize and Catalog music
