Description:
411 Music Group is currently seeking a Director of Licensing in our Los Angeles office who specializes in publishing and sales for catalog music, artists and custom music. The applicant should be able to contribute to the growth of the company, maximize revenue and establish new clients for sync licensing in film, television, branding and interactive media.
Start Date: Asap
Requirements:
-Minimum 3 years of sales experience in the music licensing sector and Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
-Existing client relationships in music publishing and licensing
-Ability to meet sales targets
-Strong knowledge of music production, current trends and the ability to understand client requests and convey musical terms to composers
-Knowledge of the current marketplace with the ability to adapt and grow as the industry changes
-Familiarity with metadata and search engines such as Source Audio, Harvest Media, Soundminer and equivalent platforms
-Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Mac Computers, Internet Applications, and accounting programs
-Organized and detail oriented with extreme attention to detail
-A positive, go-getter attitude with superior work ethic and the desire to put in extra effort
-Be on time without restricted time commitments
-Be innovative, think outside the box and take the initiative in a team atmosphere
-Experience with branding, marketing, Photoshop, recording software and contracts is a plus
Responsibilities:
-Maximize growth in revenue by bringing in, negotiating and closing new accounts
-Provide ongoing service to clientele via phone, email, meetings, and doing regular pitching, searches and outreach to maintain existing relationships and develop new ones
-Field and negotiate fees for licenses/custom projects
-Input and maintain correspondence relating to quotes, contracts and cataloging licenses in company's CRM
-Participate in industry trade events, conferences and panels as needed to grow company's sales and maintain existing relationships
-Attend company meetings and contribute to strategies and discussions with team
-Utilize strategic selling skills to properly assess client needs
-Follow up on leads and deliveries to confirm contractual obligations/conditions have been fulfilled
-Understand client needs, musical direction and deliver music on a daily basis to clients, fulfill search requests and translate to composers what is needed for a new search or custom composition
-Maintain and organize contracts, files, artwork, etc. in folders on the company server as needed
-Track and meet client and composer deadlines
-Be trustworthy, honest and preserve proprietary and confidential information
