Director of Marketing & Promotion
Our explosive growth has created an opportunity for a dedicated, engaged, enthusiastic, self-starter in our marketing department. We're looking for an amazing Director of Marketing & Promotion in our corporate office in Fort Worth, Texas.
Our Director of Marketing & Promotion will be a key element of our success. He/she will, with our partners, vendors, and staff, collaboratively design and develop our on-sale, sustaining, and closing marketing campaigns for our (roughly) 100 events per year throughout the country. Then he/she will implement and monitor these campaigns and will take necessary action to ensure the success of our plans, and maximize ticket sales for our events.
The successful candidate will be an assertive take-charge person who takes his/her responsibility seriously, but who can also maintain perspective while working with other key staff, and external stakeholders. He/she will be responsible for as much as $1M in advertising budgets, and as much as $10M in ticket sales. The stakes are high, and that's why we need someone who's confident, intelligent, results-oriented, informed, creative, detail-oriented, and open-minded.
We present many different kinds of attractions-concerts featuring country, rock, pop, jazz, and classical music, theatre including Broadway musicals, comedy, family entertainment, almost anything! So our Director of Marketing & Promotion will need to be very organized, willing to work long hours including some nights and weekends, and willing to educate him/herself in best-practices in every genre and category in which we're working.
He/she will be highly familiar with media buying and placement in traditional media (radio/tv/print) as well as digital marketing, and social media, and be able to apply each and all appropriately for the demographic targets on any given event.
We also want to find someone who enjoys their work, and enjoys working with others in a team-based collaborative environment. Somebody who is helpful, and friendly would be nice. Someone who can while being assertive, and persistent, exercise a high degree of diplomacy, and who can maintain perspective in the throes of this fast-paced, and high volume operation.
The ideal candidate:
Will have a bachelor's degree (or greater) in business, music business, or sports business with an emphasis in marketing and sales. Will have at least 3 years experience in sports or entertainment marketing for a promoter or presenting theatre, arena, amphitheater, or performing arts center, doing at least 20 live, ticketed events a year.
Position is full-time, salaried exempt.
Everything else he or she needs to know, we will discuss at a scheduled interview.
Email us your resume. No phone calls, please. Job open until filled. Position starts January 1st.
35 Concerts is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Job Type: Full-time
Job Location:
Fort Worth, TX
Required education:
Bachelor's
Required experience:
Live Event Marketing: 3 years
