3 Ball Entertainment, one of television's most prolific producers of reality and non-fiction programming is looking for a Coordinator, Business & Legal Affairs to join its Business & Legal Affairs Department. Under the direction of the SVP, Business & Legal Affairs, this department handles all development and production legal work for unscripted programming.
Primary Duties Include:
• Track all agreements for all attorneys for all 3 Ball projects and maintain digital filing of documents;
• Perform clearance review and maintain accurate clearance charts for all 3 Ball programs;
• Prepare and format status charts, research reports, and initial drafts of agreements;
• Handle all scheduling and management of supervisor calendars, prepare and track expense reports, answer phones, as needed;
• Coordinate meetings/conference calls, and miscellaneous administrative tasks;
• Responsible for ensuring full-execution of all agreements generated by the legal team;
• Advise and communicate with internal departments (e.g., Development, Production Management, Current Programming, Post Production and Accounting/Finance) on a wide variety of business and legal matters;
• Perform other administrative and legal related tasks and duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• JD Degree;
• Possess excellent organizational, analytical, interpersonal, prioritizing and time management skills in a high-volume production environment;
• Ability to multitask, work with limited supervision, and adjust easily to changing priorities;
• Ability to communicate effectively and properly represent 3 Ball with agents, attorneys and other business affairs executives while building and maintaining strong industry relationships;
• Ability to rapidly absorb information and conform to existing business practices while simultaneously offering innovative solutions to improve efficiency and client satisfaction;
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Must have strong document drafting, editing and redlining skills;
• Interested in a fast paced work environment;
• Must be very organized and detail oriented;
• Must have professional demeanor and respect confidentiality and security protocols;
• Good sense of humor.
