FINANCE & STRATEGIC PLANNING
MANAGER, FINANCE (DEVELOPMENT): Responsible for development spend reconciliation and reporting.
Job Duties:
Updates Access database for development term deals.
• Inputs all term deals, including recoupments and network reimbursables, in the system.
• Insures that all agreements and cost basis of agreements are documented.
• Clarifies agreements and resolves inconsistencies.
• Reconciles contractual payments and recoupments.
• Journals appropriate charge-offs and initiates cost transfers to production.
• Reviews for adjustments from prior years, as needed.
• Tracks and reports expiring and pending deals.
• Reviews and issues monthly detail report to senior management.
• Ad hoc analysis as needed.
Performs operational duties related to development spend.
• Audits and codes payment authorizations, invoices and T&E.
• Assigns and creates product numbers in corporate product registry.
• Tracks monthly spend against policy limits.
• Authorizes office supplies orders.
• Coordinates and submits billings for network reimbursements.
• Reconciles general ledger to production accounts.
• Reviews weekly transaction reports to resolve payment errors.
Manages Annual Write-Off
• Prepares writeoff projections for term deals and reviews with senior management.
• Researches appropriate recoupments and network reimbursements.
• Manages approval process and books corresponding journal entries.
Prepares and issues supporting schedules to Participations.
• Manages credited earnings and unrecouped guarantee allocation statements for term deals.
• Tracks term deal activity and recommends status change.
Assists with additional Finance department duties, as needed.
Skills and Requirements:
• Degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 5-7 years progressively responsible experience in finance or accounting. Entertainment industry experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to communicate well with all levels of management.
• Must be able to thrive well in an extremely busy and varied environment, and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in MS Office; Word/Excel/Outlook.
• PeopleSoft & Microsoft Access experience desirable.
