Search for Legal Affairs Consultant (Temporary) jobs in los angeles-CA
Twentieth Century Fox Television is looking for a television legal affairs executive for a temporary, consultant attorney position. The ideal candidate will have significant legal affairs experience in television production and development.
The successful candidate will have broad-based experience with the legal issues and tasks related to the production, development and distribution of television series, including the drafting and negotiation of development and production-related agreements and the clearance of television series.
Qualifications
• A minimum of four years of entertainment experience at a law firm or corporate or studio legal department.
• Ability to perform duties under minimal or no supervision while exercising discretion and independent, sound judgment.
• Direct experience drafting all forms of production agreements.
• Experience in participation claims and other disputes with talent, copyright and trademark claims, as well as advising on legal issues in the areas of intellectual property law and guild agreements.
• Willingness to tackle matters outside area of expertise.
• Exceptional negotiating skills, strong drafting abilities, exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), ability to work under deadlines, and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent academic credentials and references.
• Detail-oriented, creative, adaptable and a team player.
• J.D. and membership in good standing in at least one state bar.
