Overview and Responsibilities
Paramount is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the global finance team. Accurate compensation and headcount planning is a strategic priority for the company. In this role you'll be at the forefront of our compensation and headcount planning efforts, working with teams across different countries, time zones and cultures. Regions include but are not limited to: Latin America; New York; Europe; the UK; Africa; and the Middle-East.
Your responsibilities will span a diverse range, from reconciling monthly staff cost planning reports to analyzing compensation variances and collaborating with teams across various time zones and cultures. You'll be a key player in ensuring accurate financial forecasts, providing insights to partners, and contributing to strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
Include
• Reconcile monthly staff cost planning of HR reports to ensure accurate planning
• Adjust monthly forecasts with HR adjustments (e.g. promotions, salary increases, new hires, transfers, etc.)
• Assist with month-end close entries, including reclassifying expenses and booking accruals
• Analyze compensation variances on P&L accounts to prior forecasts and budget
• Cross analyze variances across regions, lines of business, and organizational functions
• Provide partners with explanations of variances
• Review risks and opportunities with HR and Finance leaders across the region
• Upload and review compensation entries into our planning systems
• Organize data from various systems into accessible reports and perform analyses using key performance metrics
• Assist with financial presentations; ad hoc reports and analyses from partners
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related field
• 4 years pertinent finance experience with a firm understanding of GAAP and financial statements
Additional Qualifications
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
• Advanced Excel user, demonstrated ability to work with large data sets and formulas
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Fluency with Spanish language preferred
• Experience with financial ERP systems and software including SAP
• Ability to work independently; deal with ambiguity; and meet deadlines under changing workloads
