WBBM CBS Chicago / Paramount Global is seeking a highly motivated and driven Account Executive to join our team, based in Chicago, Illinois. Our diverse portfolio includes WBBM CBS News Chicago, Paramount and Pluto TV, providing clients with unparalleled reach and precision targeting. As a team, we offer all the essential resources to tackle any marketing challenge. We are in search of a candidate who shares our passion for multi-platform media sales and winning.
We are seeking an individual who can craft and sell custom marketing campaigns to both direct clients and advertising agencies. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, creative, and possesses excellent organizational skills. They should also be upbeat, passionate about new business opportunities, and have strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• 3 years of media selling experience. Linear Broadcast, Cable, Sports Media sales and OTT Streaming Media experience preferred.
• Expertise in the categories of automotive, healthcare, financial and retail along with television, digital and sports media platforms required.
RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES
• Developing new business in linear/digital/streaming platforms and non-traditional revenue sales.
• Securing contract renewals with increased market share through cross-selling/up selling additional platforms and solutions.
• Develop and execute strategies for selling premium high-profile properties such as NFL, Big Ten College Football, PGA Golf, WNBA, NCAA Men's and Women's College Basketball, UEFA Soccer, NWSL Women's Professional Soccer.
• Experience selling high profile network prime specials such as The Grammy's, People's Choice Awards, Tony Awards, CMT Awards, Daytime Emmy's, and the Kennedy Center Honors.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals
• Create, develop, and maintain strong working relationships with clients
• Increase shares of existing agency business by leveraging Paramount's multi-platform assets
• Explore innovative and non-traditional avenues to generate revenue
• Identify and cultivate new business accounts. New Business is expected at a high level.
• Build customized, client-focused solutions that demonstrate the value of Paramount
• Promote and sell Paramount's streaming TV solutions, and understand how they complement broadcast TV
• Help foster a positive, collaborate work environment with internal team members, ensuring customer happiness and optimal performance
• Handle all paperwork in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
• Gifted in developing, communicating, and implementing complex, comprehensive marketing solutions and services to C-level executives and business owners of national, regional, and local accounts.
• Accurately analyze customer needs, develop a custom solution, and build an effective presentation to close the sale and implement the solution during the account management phase.
• Skilled at developing strong client relationships within a short time.
• Proficiency with the following media selling tools: Wide Orbit, Vivvix, Strata, Salesforce, Winmo, Operative, Wrap, Zoom Info.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint a must!
• Valid Driver's License.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong marketing, advertising, and branding acumen.
• Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
